As a part of Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavam, Andal Sri Goda Devi garlands from Srivilliputtur in Tamil Nadu reached Tirumala on Thursday to decorate during Garuda Seva on Friday evening.
First, the garlands were brought to the Sri Pedda Jiyar Mutt near Sri Bedi Anjaneyaswamy Temple. Special pujas were performed in the presence of Tirumala Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jiyar Swamy and Tirumala Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jiyar Swamy.
From there, TTD EO Sri. AV Dharma Reddy, Tamil Nadu Endowments Department Joint Commissioner Sri. Selladorai, Srivilliputtur Temple EO Sri. Muthuraja and Trust Board member Sri. Manoharan took the garlands of Godadevi to the Srivari temple in a procession through the streets of the temple.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, EO said that it is customary to offer Godadevi Malas from Srivilliputtur to Tirumala. He said that these sacred garlands will be decorated to Swami during Garuda Seva.
