New Songs to be Presented on Nada Neerajanam






TTD has mulled over encouraging the young and fresh singers to sing the newly tuned Sankeertans of Tallpaka Annamacharya which have not seen light in public domain so far, said renowned Music Director Sri Saluri Vasu Rao.

During the media conference held at Media Center in Tirumala on Saturday, the Musician cum Music director said, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy has been doing a great service to Lord Venkateswara by bringing out the newly tuned songs with young and budding artists providing them the opportunity to perform on Nada Neerajanam platform during Srivari Brahmotsavams.


He said in the last three years, he has tuned for nearly 380 sankeertans and bringing out in the form of audio CDs with a set of ten songs. 

After these songs are being verified by a team of expert musicians only, they are recorded as CDs. That is the amount of care and interest being shown by the TTD EO and his team of SV Recording Project officials which is to be complemented", he added.


Renowned artist Sri Rani Srinivasa Sharma said, since 2014 he has been singing on the Nada Neerjanam platform at Tirumala. He felt blessed for the divine opportunity to have sung ten sankeertans and brought them out in the form of a CD for SV Recording Project. He thanked TTD mandarins for the opportunity which has immensely helped an upcoming artist like him to earn an identity in the carnatic music world.


SV Recording Project Special Officer Dr Vibhishana Sharma said, that with the initiative of TTD EO 290 songs of Annamacharya Sankeertans were tuned afresh in the last couple of years and another 300 are under pipeline. He said exactly 100 years after 1922, the tuning of Annamacharya Sankeertans has been taking place since 2022.
