The 64-year old TTD run SGS Arts College received the prestigious autonomous status for a decade by UGC which will help in the development of the college to a great extent.
With this college will attain self-sustenance and could be able to bring a lot of amendments in the examination system, syllabus, education system etc.
There are at present 2200 odd students in 19 disciplines studying in this college.
Many old students from the college are now chairing topmost positions. District Collector Sri Venkatramana Reddy, CMO Secretary Sri Dhananjeya Reddy, IPS Officer Sri Damodar, TTD Services Wing DyEO Sri Govindarajan, PRO Dr T Ravi are a few among them.
TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy appreciated the JEO (H&E) Smt Sada Bhargavi, DEO Sri Bhaskar Reddy, Principal Sri Venugopal Reddy, other faculty and students for this achievement.
