Pumpkin Seeds, Sweet Corn Kernels Steals the Show



















As a part of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams at Tiruchanoor on Saturday, Snapana Tirumanjanam was held with celestial grandeur.

Sri Krishna Mukha Mandapam spruced up for the colourful ritual which takes place every day during the nine-day annual fete.

The processional deity Sri Padmavathi Devi was seated on a  special platform in the splendid decorated Mandapam with apples and oranges where Snapana Tirumanjanam with spices was rendered.

Each time, after the completion of the holy bath with one ingredient, the deity was decorated with a unique garland and this is repeated for nine times.

Ammavaru was adorned with varieties of garlands, hair decoration and crown each time made of Sweetcorn, Pumpkin seeds, Lotus seeds, besides dry grapes, Jasmine-Vrukshi flowers, rose petals, Tulasi etc.

The event was a cynosure to the devotees which was carried out amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns in a big way by the temple religious staff between 12:30pm and 2:30pm.

DyEO Sri Govindarajan, AEO Sri Ramesh, devotees and others were also present.
