Heralded Srivari Glory Embedded in Inscriptions









Eminent epigraphist Sri Sadhu Subramanyam was paid rich tributes on his 135th Birth Anniversary.


He was hailed by scholars for translating the inscriptions of the Srivari temple and heralding the glory of Sri Venkateswara Swamy across the globe.


Participating in the 135 Jayanti celebrations of Sri Sadhu Subramanya Sastry held at Annamacharya Kalamandiram Scholar Sri Krishna Reddy said  Sri Subramanya Sastry had brought out and translated over 1000 inscriptions at Srivari temple and also credited for unearthing Annamacharya Sankeertans (12,000 of 32,000 sankeertans that were discovered so far) and dedicated them to the society.


Earlier TTD CAuO Sri Sesha Shailendra highlighted the works of eminent scholars like Sri Sadhu Subramanya Sastry, Sri Veturi Prabhakara Shastry and Sri Rallapalli Ananta Krishna Sharma and said their life and contributions should inspire both senior citizens and youth.


Thereafter prominent journalist Sri Ma Sharma presented a lecture on  ‘ Shastri’s Multifaceted acumen ‘.


Earlier CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore and PRO Dr T Ravi paid floral tributes and garlanded the life-size bronze statue of Sri Sadhu Subramanya Sastry located at the SVETA Bhavan in Tirupati on Sunday.


Daughter of Sri Shastri Smt Girija, Grandson and Judge Sri Murthy and Director of Annamacharya Project Dr Akella Vibhishana Sharma were present.
