As a part of its noble mission of taking forward the Sanatana Hindu Dharma Prachara, the TTD Trust Board under the Chairmanship of Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy has decided to make mangalsutras weighing 5gms and 10gms and sell them to the devotees after getting the divine blessings
for a blissful married life of the couple.
The TTD Board resolved on many important issues during the board meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Monday. Briefing the media after the Board meeting, the TTD Chairman along with the Executive Officer Sri AV Dharma Reddy has informed the media on the various developmental programmes approved by the board. Some excerpts:
The Hindu Marriage system is known for its chastity and the Hindu women strongly believes in the great bond of marital system by wearing Mangalasutram. "During my previous term as TTD Trust board chief, I have performed 32thousand marriages to poor couples through the unique Kalyanamastu programme and none of them were converted to other religion in the last 17years. By introducing the sale of Mangalasutram which have the blessings of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, it will help them to further stregthen their bond and lead a blissful married life. These Mangalasutrams will be prepared in 5 grams and 10 grams on cost-to-cost basis in four or five designs. Along with these, it has also been decided to make Lakshmi kasulu too", the Chairman added.
The Board has approved for Rs.5,141.74crore budget for the financial year 2024-25
Some other important Resolutions:
Approval of tenders towards the construction of gravel road in additional 132.05 acres of land allocated at Padiredu Aranyam of Vadamalapet Mandal for housing of TTD employees.
Approval to increase the wages of 70 contract laddu tray lifting semi-skilled and unskilled workers in TTD Potu department from Rs.12,523/- to Rs.15,000/-.
Nod to increase the wages of those working under contract and outsourcing system in various departments of TTD.
The Six Vedic schools of TTD have been spreading the Vedic education as part of Hindu Sanatana Dharma Prachara. The board has given nod to increase the salaries of 51 Vedic teachers working in these schools from Rs.35 thousand to Rs.54 thousand.
138 cleaners and 79 cooks in the Annaprasadam department have been changed to the skilled category and their wages increased from Rs.17 thousand to Rs.22 thousand.
Similarly the workers in electrical and water works have been changed from unskilled to skilled category.
Approval to introduce Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP for a period of five years with the latest technology to manage TTD governance more quickly and transparently.
Approval for installation of audiovisual connectivity equipment as part of modernization of Tirumala Annamayya Building Conference Hall.
Nod to increase the wages of sculptors at the TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Traditional Sculpture and Architecture institute as part of promotion and encouragement of traditonal arts
The salary of Sri Munaswamy Reddy, an expert in Kalamkari art, has been increased from Rs.25 thousand to Rs.39 thousand.
The board has resolved to send creation of some religious posts in 26 sub-temples(227 posts) and 34 taken over temples(288 posts) of TTD for the approval of the state government.
Approval of tender for Rs 30.71 crore to develop two lane road from Akashaganga to Outer Ring Road in Tirumala to four lane road to over come the traffic problem along this route.
Tenders approved towards the development works of Saptagiri Rest Houses - Block No. 6 and 7 worth Rs.2.28 crores for the convenience of devotees who come across the country to visit Tirumala.
Nod for the administrative sanction for Rs.10.90 crore towards taking up the development and painting works of Sri Venkateswara, Adiseshu, Shankumitta Rest Houses in Tirumala.
Approval of sanction of Rs.6.90 crores towards the construction of Rajagopuram and stone prakaram for the ancient shrine of Sri Bhadrakali Sametha Veerabhadraswamy temple in Narayanavanam.
After the division of the state, upon the instructions of the Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy, an exclusive superspecialty hospital for children has been set up by TTD at the lotus feet of Sri Venakteswara Swamy in the temple City of Tirupati. This hospital will henceforth be renamed as Sri Padmavati Institute of Child Health.

The TTD Trust Board has thanked the Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy, for sanctioning the house sites to TTD employees fulfilling their several decades old wish making their dream to become a reality.
Later, the fact-finding committee of Srivani Trust, which was formed by the Tirupati Press Club President Sri. Bhaskar Reddy and other media representatives of Tirumala and Tirupati, handed over its report to the TTD Chairman Sri. Bhumana Karanakara Reddy and EO Sri. AV. Dharma Reddy.
Some board members, JEOs Smt. Sada Bhargavi and Sri. Veerabraham participated.
