Evening Vahana Sevas Immerse Devotees in Devotional Waves

The Vahana Sevas are classified into two with first four before Chakra Snanam and the next three after on Friday.

The second half of Vahana Sevas commenced with Kalpavriksha Vahanam.

KALPAVRIKSHA VAHANAM (4 pm to 5 pm)

Sri Malayappa Swamy along with His two Consorts, Sridevi and Bhudevi bless the devotees on the Kalpavriksha vahanam in the four Mada streets of the temple in the evening.  Kalpavriksha is one of the precious objects that originated in Ksheera Sagara Mathanam in the form of a wish-fulfilling divine tree.

It is the belief of the devotees that Srivaru will grant the desired boons by having His darshan on the Kalpa Vriksha Vahanam.

SARVABHUPALA VAHANA(6 pm to 7 pm)

Sarvabhupala means the king of the universe.  It means that Srivaru is the king of all rulers.  Indra to the east, Agni to the south-east, Yama to the south, Niruti to the south-west, Varuna to the west, Vayu to the north-west, Kubera to the north and Parameshwara to the north-east are the eight rulers.  All of them serve Swami on their shoulders and in their hearts.  Thus Swami is conveying the message that people will be blessed under their rule who will be acting as per His directives.

CHANDRAPRABHA VAHANAM (8 to 9 pm)

Moon is often considered as Sasyakaraka. Lilies bloom when the moon rises.  Devotees are excited when they witnessed Lord on Chandraprabha vahanam.

The Sapta Vahana Sevas culminated with Sri Malayappa Swamy on the soothing Chandraprabha Vahanam.
