Gear Up for Ratha Saptami - TTD Eo






TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy directed officials of all departments to coordinate efforts and organise all-round arrangements for the convenience of devotees coming for Surya Jayanti also known as Ratha Sapthami at Tirumala on February 16.


Addressing a review meeting of officials and district police at Annamaiah Bhavan on Friday evening, the EO reviewed in detail on Anna Prasadam, Health, Engineering, Srivari temple, Garden, Srivari Seva, security, SVBC and HDPP. 


He said there would be a procession of seven vahanams along Mada streets from dawn to dusk and asked officials to ensure against any inconvenience to devotees in galleries.


Among others, he directed officials to install temporary sheds along Mada streets for the sake of devotees and instructed to keep a buffer stock of four lakh laddus. 


He directed Anna Prasadam officials to supply buttermilk, sambar rice, curd rice Pulihora, Pongal etc from all through the processions at regular intervals and the health department to supply water along the Mada streets utilizing the services of Srivari Sevaks.


He urged senior officials to supervise arrangements of the supply of medicines by medical staff, stationing of ambulances, frequent cleaning by sanitation staff etc.


He also said in view of the festival, TTD has cancelled all Arjita sevas, VIP Break, Senior citizen, physically Handicapped, parents with infants darshans for the day.


TTD has also stalled the issuance of SSD tokens in Tirupati from February 15-17.  MBC-34 and TB counters will remain closed from midnight of February 13 till midnight of February 16 and only CRO and Sri Padmavati Rest Houses allotments operate.


JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore, CEO Sri Shanmukh Kumar, CE Sri Nageswara Rao, Srivari temple one of chief Archakas Sri Venugopala Deekshitulu, SE2 Sri Jagadeeshwar Reddy, CPRO Dr T Ravi and other police officials were also present.
