The Hon'ble Governor of Telangana and Lt. Governor of Puducherry, Dr. (Smt.) Tamilisai Soundararajan, participated as the chief guest in the state celebration of the 37th Foundation Day of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram at the Raj Bhavan of Telangana on February 20th.
The event commenced with the
Governor extending warm wishes to the people of both states on their foundation
day. She expressed her gratitude to Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi
Ji for initiating such a meaningful event. which really paves the way for
national integration.
In her address, Dr. (Smt.) Tamilisai
Soundararajan highlighted the strong cultural and emotional ties between
Arunachal Pradesh, and Mizoram with Telangana. She drew a insightful connection
between Arunachal Pradesh and South India, referencing the revered Lord
Arunachalesvara temple in the Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu.
The program featured video
messages from the Hon'ble Governors of both Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. The
celebration came alive with vibrant cultural performances, including a fascinating
bamboo dance by talented participants from both states.
R. Lalhriatpuii, a Ph.D. scholar
at Hyderabad University, anchored the event. Distinguished speakers, including
Dr. Christina Z. Chongthu, IAS, Secretary of the Health Department, Government
of Telangana; Dr. C. Vanlalhruaii, Assistant Professor at Hyderabad University;
and Ejum Riba, a Master's student at Hyderabad University, addressed the
gathering and shared their perspectives on the occasion. Esteemed guests from
both states joined the celebration, adding to the festive atmosphere.
