Telugu Padakavita Pitamaha, Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya used simple yet elegant words which were easily understandable to even a common man so that the essence in the sankeertans penned by him could easily reach everyone, said Acharya Rani Sadashivamurthy, Vice-Chancellor of SV Veda University.
Chairing the ongoing literary sessions as part of the 616th Birth Anniversary celebration of the Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya at the Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati on Saturday he said that Sri Thallapaka Annamayya wrote thousands of sankeertans on Sri Venkateswara with Telugu words that were popular at that time.
Along with him, renowned scholars including Dr Dakshinamurthy, Smt Sridevi spoke on various topics like Annmacharya-Pada Soundaryam, Annmaiah-Samskrita Sankeertanalu, Annmaiah - -Sukti Vaibhavam.
Later Sri Chandrasekhar team from Tirupati rendered Harikatha.
Annamacharya Project Director Dr Vibhishana Sharma, Sub-editor Dr Narasimhacharyulu, Program Assistant Smt Kokila and others were present.
