Priya Sisters Magical Voice Allures the Audience









The melodious notes emanated from the golden voices of the renowned Carnatic music sisters duo, the Priya Sisters touched the artistic souls of audience with their unique Sankeertans.


Shanmukha Priya and Hari Priya with their supporting instrumental artists presented before the audience a galaxy of new songs penned by Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya on the occasion of the 616th Jayanti fete of Annamacharya held at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati on Friday evening.

JEO for Health and Education Smt  Goutami felicitated the artists, Annamacharya successors and released a couple of books penned by Prof. Sarvottama Rao on the occasion.

She said the richness of Annamacharya Sankeertans lies in its dialect that which could easily reach every common man. That is why even after six centuries, Annamacharya Sankeertans are admired by every one and it is nice to note that Priya Sisters have acquainted us with a new set of Annamacharya Sankeertans today, she added.

Annamacharya Project Director Dr Vibhishana Sharma, SVETA and Vengamamba project Director Sri Subramanyam Reddy, VGO Sri Bali Reddy, large number of music lovers were present.
