Vengamamba Pioneered Women Empowrment









Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba, the saint poetess of the 18th Century brought about women empowerment in her times fighting against social evil and pioneered Annaprasadam in Tirumala, said the Pontiff of Visakha Sarada Peetham, HH Sri Swarupanandendra Saraswathi Swamy.


The Pontiff while addressing the senior officers of TTD in SVETA during the 294th Vengamamba Jayanti fete organised by the Vengamamba Project of TTD on Thursday evening he advocated that the essence of Hindu Santana Dharma should be propagated on various social media platforms in a big way like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc. so that it will reach a wide range of the public.

"The ancient temples of India are centres of knowledge, ethics, social service and also income generating centres. Every individual should take up the responsibility of propagating Hindu Dharma in a wide spread manner in this fast-growing world and sustain our Vedic Dharma for future generations".

He said, TTD besides making the best use of its Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel and publishing dharmic books, should also take up Hindu Dharma Prachara through social media platforms also as today majority of people irrespective of ages have Twitter, WhatsApp, Facebook accounts etc.

TTD JEO for Health and Education Smt Goutami, SVETA Director Sri Subrahmanyam Reddy and other officers were present.
