Dhwajarohanam Marks The Commencement of the Annual Fete

The annual brahmotsavams in Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple at Appalayagunta commenced on a grand religious note with Dhwjarohanam on Monday.

The hoisting of Garuda Flag atop the temple mast took place in the auspicious hour of Mithuna Lagnam between 6.55am and 7.25am as per the tenets of Vaikhanasa Agama.

Sri Suryakumaracharyulu carried out the rituals as Kankanabhattar.

Snapana Tirumanjanam to the utsava deities was held between 11am and 12noon.

DyEO Sri Govindarajan, AEO Sri Ramesh, Superintendent Smt Srivani and others were present.
