The annual three-day Pavitrotsavams are scheduled from August 15-17 with Ankurarpanam on August 14.
On the first day, Pavitra Pratista, second-day Pavitra Samarpana and on the last day Pavitra Purnahuti will be observed.
Every day there will be Snapana Tirumanjanam to the deities.
The festival is believed to have commenced in 1962 to waive off sins that were committed either knowingly or unknowingly by the religious staff, temple staff, employees and even devotees all through the year through Agama rituals.
TTD has cancelled Sahasra Deepalankara Seva on August 14, besides Tiruppavada on August 15, also cancelled Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjita Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Sevas on all the three days.
