The nine-day Ganesha Navaratri festivities concluded with Maha Purnahuti on Sunday at Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham.
On the auspicious day of Vinayaka Chaviti on September 7 this Navahnika event commenced and each day Sri Vinayaka was worshipped in a different Alankaram on a different Vahanam.
Many rituals such as Ankurarpanam, Punyaha Vachanam, Dhwajarohanam, Agni Pratisthapana, Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy Pooja, Surya Pooja, Somanatha Pooja, Dwara Puja, Ganapathi Homam, Sri Vishnu Sahasra Nama Parayanam and others were observed before Vahana Seva every day.
On the first day on Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy appeared Tiruhci on September 7, as Bala Ganapathi in the morning and Srishti Ganapathi in the evening on Gaja Vahanam on September 8, Ekakshara and Ekadanta Ganapthi on Mayura Vahanam on September 9, Durga Ganapathi and Dundhi Ganapathi on Puli Vahanam on September 10, Sri Runa Vimochaka Ganapathi and Vijaya Ganapathi on Hamsa Vahanam on September 11, Yoga Ganapathi and Kshipra Ganapathi on Aswa on September 12, Veera Ganapthi on the Seventh Day on September 13 on Simha, Maha Ganapathi on the eighth day on September 14 on Vrishabha and on the last day on Sunday, the September 15, Sri Siddhi Buddhi Ganapathi blessed on Mooshika Vahanam.
The Vedic students prepared the Ganesha idol and rendered prayers under the guidance of the Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham Principal Sri KSS Avadhani. The faculty-supervised the arrangements and conduct of various rituals performed by the students.
While Dhwajavarohanam will be observed on Sunday evening. After performing special Panchamrita Abhishekam to the Ganapathi idol, Nimarjanam will be observed on Monday, the September 16 between 9am and 11am.
