Divine Spicy Treat

The three-day Snapana Tirumanjanam concluded in a spectacular way at Ranganayakula Mandapam on Monday.

The sacred aromatic bath to the utsava deities which commenced at 1pm lasted for about two hours. The Veda Parayanamdars chanted Sri Suktam, Bhu Suktam, Purusha Suktam, Narayana Suktam and Neela Suktam in a rhythmic manner.

On the third day, the deities of Sri Malayappa along with Sridevi and Bhudevi were decked with spicy garlands and crowns after the completion of every aromatic bath. 

Cloves, Cardamom, figs, pistachios besides rose petals and straw berries decorated the utsava murthies in an attractive manner.
