Durbar Krishna Shines on Chandra Prabha Vahanam











On Thursday evening, on the 7th day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam of Tirumala, Sri Mallappa Swamy graced the devotees by touring the four Mada streets of Tirumala in Durbar Krishna Alankaram on Chandraprabha Vahanam.


"Purushottama Praptiyagam" describes Chandra as one of the forms of Sri Maha Vishnu.

Chandra is known as Sasyakara(life giver for plants) and that is why Ankurarpanam is also done in the moonlight in the evening.

Devotees consider Swami darshan on the Chandraprabha Vahanam as a sign of good, peace and happiness.

Tirumala Sri Pedda Jeeyangar, Tirumala Sri Chinnajeeyangar, TTD EO Sri J Syamala Rao, Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, JEOs Smt Gautami, Sri Veerabrahmam, CVSO Sri Sridhar and other officials participated in this Vahana Seva.
