TTD Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary said that extensive arrangements are being made for the convenience of the multirude of devotees who visit Tirumala for Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy from January 10 to 19.
He inspected several areas in Tirumala along with JEO Sri Veerabraham, District SP Sri Subbarayudu and CVSO Sri Sridhar on Thursday.
Later, the Additional EO speaking to the media said that TTD officials, vigilance and police personnel in coordination are making necessary arrangements to ensure that the devotees are not put to any sort of inconvenience.
He said that since a large number of devotees are expected to come on January 10, 11 and 12 TTD has made elaborate plans for their stay, Annaprasadam and security besides providing Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan.
The Additional EO said that this year the details of darshan time, parking area, entry and exit gates will also be included in the passes given to the VIPs coming for darshan.
He said that the vehicle parking in the Rambagicha area has been shifted to outside during these days. Instead, 10 electric buggies, additional security, staff and signboards will be arranged for the movement of VIPs and senior citizens.
He appealed to VIPs and devotees to come for darshan only as per the time and date allotted to them on their tickets or tokens to avoid long waiting hours and any other inconvenience.
Adding further, he said the devotees should leave their footwear in their rest houses or in their vehicles itself.
The Additional EO requested that devotees should also maintain cleanliness without causing any inconvenience to their fellow devotees and throw the waste only in the dust bins provided by TTD.
He asked devotees to cooperate with TTD by following the rules as prescribed.
District SP Sri Subbaraidu said that they have reviewed the security arrangements to be made for the safety of devotees coming for Vaikuntha Ekadasi without any problems. He explained that they had discussed at length the proper management of traffic in Tirumala and the deployment of security at the SSD counters in Tirupati also.
Earlier, the Additional EO along with the District SP inspected the vacant areas next to Parakamani Bhavan, in front of Srivari Seva Sadan, and the parking areas near Matrushri Tarigonda Vengamamba Brindavanam.
Later, he inspected the queue lines and entry points at the ATC and made several suggestions to the concerned officials.
Deputy EO Sri Lokanatham, VGO Sri Surendra, other officials, police and vigilance were present.
