TTD Chairman Inspects Dump Yard

The TTD Chairman Sri BR Naidu along with former DRDO Chairman and present Scientific Advisor to Government of India, Dr G Satheesh Reddy inspected the Dump Yard in Kakulamanu on Wednesday.

The TTD Trust Board Chairman said, lakhs of metric tonnes of Garbage has been piled up over the years which is hazardous to both the Tirumala environs as well to the denizens.

Every day nearly 50-60 tonnes gets piled up here. So it needs immediate clearance. To find a permanent and quick solution to this issue, Sri Satheesh Reddy has been asked to visit the Dump Yard. He will give his observations, the chairman said.

Later, Sri Satheesh Reddy while appreciating the motto of TTD Chairman in clearing the dump yard that has piled up over the years at Tirumala, said a technical team of experts is visiting Tirumala soon to see how this legacy waste shall be segregated. 

A part of this can be sent to factories and another portion shall be used as manures. But before that the samples will be sent for lab testing. 

After the test results, our scientists will possibly give a concrete solution to overcome this issue, he added.

Board members Smt Panabaka Lakshmi, Sri Bhanuprakash Reddy, CE Sri Satyanarayana, Health Officer Sri Madhusudhan and others were also present.
