TTD Chairman Sri. BR Naidu said that the number of devotees visiting the Tirupati Sri Tatayagunta Gangamma temple is increasing day by day and the temple will be developed in various ways.
The Chairman inspected the development works in the temple on Saturday along with the local MLA Sri Arani Srinivasulu.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, the Chairman said that the Sri Tatayagunta Gangamma is believed to be the Sister of Tirumala Sri Venteswara Swamy.
He said that since a large number of devotees come for darshan of Srivaru, TTD has undertaken many development programs to avoid any sort of inconvenience to them.
He said that as a part of the reconstruction works of the temple, development is being done in the first installment with Rs.3.75 crores. In this, the Chairman examined the progress works of Arch, SS Grills, Stone Flooring, Drainage and other works and made several suggestions.
Similarly, he said that proposals for the second phase of development works worth Rs.3.90 crores have been received.
It includes Mukha Mandapam, Potu and others.
He said that a decision will be taken in the upcoming TTD board meeting regarding the development works.
He said that TTD will provide all possible support to organize Gangamma Jatara from May 6 to 13.
Earlier, Chairman also participated in special pooja in the temple.
TTD board members Sri G. Bhanuprakash Reddy, Sri M. Santaram, CE Sri Satyanarayana and other officials were also present.
