Ankurarpanam at Vontimitta

The annual Brahmotsavam at Vontimitta is all set to commence on the auspicious day of Sri Rama Navami on April 06 with Ankurarpanam on April 05.

Also known as Beejavapanam, the traditional seed sowing ritual will be observed in the temple from 6pm to 8pm.

The celestial event usually takes place in the night under the moonlight with Navadhanyas sown in Palikas(mud pots). The germination of the seeds indicates the successful conduct of annual Brahmotsavams.
