AP CM Reviews on Vontimitta Development

The Honorable CM of AP Sri N Chandrababu Naidu, has reviewed the issues related to the development of Vontimitta Temple

and associated pilgrim amenities after the successful conduct of the celestial Sri Sitarama Kalyanam with the TTD Board Chairman Sri BR Naidu, EO Sri J Syamala Rao, Kadapa Collector Sri Sridhar in Vontimitta.

The Hon’ble CM noted that there is high growth of the number of pilgrims visiting the temple and the necessity to gear up amenities to take care of increased pilgrim load. 

Some important directives by the Honourable CM:

TTD and Tourism department to develop  Tirupati-Kanipakam- Tallapaka -Gandikota ( Night halt )  - Vontimitta and Sri Kalahasthi circuit as a Religious and cultural  Tourism circuit with 2 day/3 day trip.

Vontimitta Tank should be beautified and the statue of Jambhavanta should be erected in the middle with boating facilities Plan for the improvement of accommodation in Vontimitta through TTD, Donors and Private operators.

All the balance temple restoration works should be taken up with the help of ASI Ramateertham and Lakshmana Teertha may be developed reflecting the religious significance of the Teerthams.

Sri Rama project may be prepared on Pothana Hills to highlight values of Ramayana and Hindutva.

Annaprasadam building to be constructed to start Nityannadanam facility in Vontimitta for all the pilgrims.

One Master Plan should be prepared covering all the above aspects to improve the spiritual environment, improve pilgrim amenities etc., 

To ensure the planned development of the temple and surrounding areas making Vontimitta a Spiritual Destination and part of the Religious Tourism circuit.
