One Crore Talambralu Offered

Sri Krishna Chaitanya Sangam President Sri Kalyana Apparao from Korukonda, East Godavari district, offered one crore pearls (Goti Talambralu)  on Thursday for the wedding ceremony Sri Sitarama to be held in Vontimitta on Friday. 

These Talambralu weighing a total of 120 kg were presented at the temple in the presence of Superintendent Sri Hanumanthaiah and priests Sri Shravan Kumar.

For these Talambralu, rice was specially cultivated for three months and devotees from the states of Andhra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Delhi peeled and prepared them with great devotion for three months.  

Sri Kalyana Apparao said that under the auspices of this association, they have been offering the pearls for the Kalyanotsavam at Bhadradri from the past 14 years, to Ayodhya since three years and to Vontimitta for the last 8 years on the occasion of Kalyanotsavam.

Temple Inspector Sri Naveen, other officials and a large number of devotees participated in the program.
