Around 14,500 devotees trekked to Tumburu Theertha mukkoti, located in deep woods and in the steep valley of Seshachala ranges in Tirumala on Friday and Saturday on the auspicious occasion of Pournami.
TTD has made elaborate arrangements of Annaprasadam, water and security at Papavinasanam dam for the devotees trekking the tedious torrent path.
People suffering from chronic diseases, asthma, obesity and heart-related ailments were not allowed to trek.
Due to space constraints, APSRTC buses operated to transport devotees from Octopus Circle to Papavinasanam dam.
On April 11, around 3,500 devotees and on Saturday over 11,000 devotees trekked the path and had the sacred Theertha Snanam in this one of the most important torrents in Tirumala.
