Phule Jayanti Observed

The 198th Birth Anniversary fete of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule was observed grandly by TTD in Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on Friday.

Income Tax Additional Commissioner from Hyderabad Sri Yadagiri who delivered an enlightening speech said Mahatma Phule dedicated his life to uplifting the backward classes by raising his voice and fighting against social discrimination in those days.

TTD Board member Sri Janga Krishnamurthy said Jyothi Rao Phule and his wife, Smt Savitri Bai Phule, fought for the upliftment of backward communities and instilled confidence in them.

A total of 45 BC employees who rendered exceptional services in their respective offices were felicitated.

Later awards were distributed to the winners of the competitions held to the employees on the occasion.
