Special religious events are scheduled to take place at the Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Tirupati throughout the month of May.
On May 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 (Saturdays), Abhishekam to the presiding deities Sri Sita, Rama, and Lakshmana will be performed at 6:00 AM. In the evening at 5:00 PM, the utsava murthis will be taken on a procession around the four Mada streets, followed by the Unjal Seva inside the temple.
On May 2, Ankurarpanam for the Pushpayagam will be conducted.
On May 3, the Pushpayagam will take place from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the temple.
On May 12, on the occasion of Pournami, the Ashtottara Shatakalasabhishekam will be performed at 8:30 AM. On the same evening at 5:30 PM, Sri Kodandarama Swamy along with Sita and Lakshmana will be taken in a procession along the four Mada streets.
On May 18, Sri Kodandarama Swamy Asthanam will be conducted at 8:00 AM at the Annamacharya Kalamandiram.
On May 22, marking Hanuman Jayanti, the Hanumantha Vahanam procession will take place at 7:00 PM.
On May 27, on the occasion of Amavasya, Sahasra Kalasabhishekam will be performed at 8:00 AM followed by Hanumantha Vahanam in the evening at 7:00 PM.
On May 30, on the auspicious Punarvasu Nakshatram, the Sita-Rama Kalyanam will be held at 11:00 AM.
