Procession of Swarna Ratham Held













On the sixth day evening of the ongoing Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams in Tirumala, TTD observed Swarna Rathotsavam (the festival of the Golden chariot) on Saturday between 4pm and 5pm. 


Sri Malayappa Swamy gave darshan to His devotees in a grand manner along with Sridevi and Bhudevi.


Devotees especially women participated with enthusiasm to pull the cart all along the four mada streets chanting Govinda Namas.


The TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and others were present.

Kerala Cultural Teams Excel ATG Hanumantha Vahanam














On the sixth day morning of the ongoing annual Srivari Brahmotsavam fete on Saturday in Tirumala, 275 artists from Ten cultural teams of Andhra, Tamilnadu and Kerala enthralled the devotees on Mada streets in front of Hanumantha Vahana.


Special attraction of the day was the Kerala drums from Palakkad of Kerala with 25 drummers including women in traditional attire dancing to their rhythmic beats. 


Similarly, 30 women artists of Sri Bharata Kala Academy of Chennai in Tamilnadu presented Sri Krishna Vaibhavam. While another team from Rajahmundry, Sri Lakshmi Bhajan Mandali with 25 artists presented folk dance.


A 25 member team from Tirumala Sesha Bhajan mandali presented a unique Durga dance with artists donning Durga attire and dancing to Devi Stotra mantra.

         

Last in a series of cultural activities of the day was Annamaiah sankeertan Bharata natyam by a team of 30  artists from Anantapur.


Impressive Religious and Musical Programs at Brahmotsavams









On the 6th day of Srivari annual Brahmotsavams in Tirumala impressive religious and musical programs were organized under the auspices of TTD Hindu Dharmic Projects at various venues in Tirumala and Tirupati on Saturday.


Vishnusahasranama Parayanam by Srimati Padmavati Devi Group, Devotional Music by Srimati Madhavilatha Group and Acharya Chakravarti Ranganadhan Bhaktamrita Dharmikopanyasam were given at Asthanamandapam in Tirumala.


In the evening, Dr. Mathusudan Rao's group performed Annamayya Vinnapalu and Smt. Jotsna and the team performed Harikatha Parayanam.


From 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm at Mahathi Auditorium, Tirupati, devotional music by Nadalaya Surabhi group, Sri Gopala Rao team gave a devotional musical concert at Annamacharya Kalamandiram, Srivalli team performed Bharatnatyam in Sri Ramachandra Pushkarini which impressed the art lovers.

Ganga Avatara Dance Steals the Show









On Saturday night, the sixth day of Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams, the performances of art groups organized under the auspices of TTD Hindu Dharmic Projects during the Gaja Vahana Seva brought more spiritual joy to the devotees. 


A total of 250 artists belonging to 10 groups from Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, Orissa and Rajasthan performed adding enhanced grandeur to the vahana seva.


Ganga Avatarana dance performance by 25 artists of Sri Lalithambigai Troupe from Pondicherry dressed as Brahma, Lakshminarayana and Bhagiradha praying to Lord Shiva, Ganga stood as a special attraction.  


28 women team from Adoni entertained with kolatam and another 25 member young women from the state of Kerala dressed in traditional Kerala attire, danced Karakatakam.

        

Artists from Rajasthan performed the Gangaur dance wearing the guises of village deities of the rural areas of Rajasthan.  Odissi dance by 25 artists from Orissa attracted the devotees.
