The Ankurarpanam fete was held on Sunday for the annual Pavitrotsvams in Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati which is set to commence from Monday onwards.

Rchid Canopy Glorify Snapana Mandapam













The Snapana Tirumanjanam was observed for the third and last time during the ongoing nine-day annual brahmotsvams in Tirumala on Sunday in the temple of Sri Venkateswara.


For the first time, garlands and crowns made of stone studded bangles were decked to the processional deities of Sri Malayappa, Sridevi and Bhudevi besides yellow rose petals, mixed dry fruits, kuruvetiver, various rose petal garlands after snapanam was performed with each sacred ingredient. The entire premises was tastefully decorated with different orchids hanging from the roof.


Both the senior and junior pontiffs of Tirumala, EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and others were present.


Tiruchanoor Pavitrotsavams








The annual three-day Pavitrotsvams will be observed in Tiruchanoor between September 27-29 with Ankurarpanam on September 26.


The Grihastha devotees shall participate on payment of Rs. 750 per ticket on which two persons will be allowed.


On first day TTD has cancelled Kalyanotsavam, Vedasirvachanam, Unjal Seva, second day -Tiruppavada, VIP Break, Kalyanotsavam, Vedasirvachanam, Kumkumarchana, Unjal seva and on final day Abhisheka Anantara Darshan, CIP break, Lakshmi Puja, Kalyanotsavam, Vedasirvachanam, Kumkumarchana, Unjal Sevas.


2500 Health Workers Deployed For Sanitation - Health Officer






TTD Health Officer Dr Sridevi said on Saturday that around 2500 sanitation workers were deployed during Srivari annual brahmotsavam for keeping Tirumala hill shrine and its premises clean and hygienic


Addressing media at the Rambagicha Media Center on Sunday she said, while 243 were pressed into service during normal days, 747 were deployed on the Garuda vahana seva day.


Nearly 136 tonnes of waste were removed. Three Ride-on Machines. 12 jet equipment and one gulfer were used to clean up the Mada streets from time to time. 


She said along Mada Streets, 278 workers were used and 187 water points set up in addition to existing 230 points with support of 681 Srivari sevaks for distributing water. 


She said drinking water and food packets were tested frequently by experts of the Kurnool regional lab and YTD food lab.


Similarly, price lists in food stalls and food items were subjected to frequent inspection with devotees feed back.


23,230 DEVOTEES UTILIZED MEDICAL AID IN SIX DAYS- CMO I/c


TTD Incharge CMO Dr Narmada said in all 23,230 devotees were given medicines in medical outlets set up all over Tirumala in the last six days during the ongoing annual festival.


Addressing media in RBGH 2 Media Center on Sunday she said besides Ashwini Hospital 8 more centres were set up in addition to the existing 6 dispensaries and 6  primary health centres in Tirumala for Brahmotsavams. 


The medical fraternity consisting of 40; doctors, 35 paramedics and 13 ambulances drawn from SVIMS, BIRRD and Ruia hospitals were stationed on 24x7 basis. 


While 4800 pilgrims were treated on Garuda seva day alone and 10,000 on Mada Streets were given treatment on mobile battery vehicle clinics remaining days.

Malayappa Dons Rma-Krishna-Govinda Alankaram




















On the seventh day of ongoing annual Brahmotsavams at Tirumala on the bright sunny morning on Sunday, Sri Malayappa Swamy blessed the devotees on Surya Prabha vahanam, depicting three incarnations, Rama Krishna Govinda Alankaram. 


Legend says that Sun God, the key architect of life, is dragged by a chariot of seven horses with Anura as the charioteer. Sun God is symbolically represented for the blessing of good health.  It is the common belief that the Darshan of  Sri Venkateswara on Surya Prabha vahanam would provide a long life, good health and prosperity and hence He is worshipped as Suryanarayana.


The Tirumala deity rode atop a vehicle adorned by Surya, the Sun God, representing His three incarnations of Treta-Dwapara-Kali yugas in His unique Rama Krishna Govinda Alankaram.


Devotees were mesmerized to see the divine charm of Lord in a different Alankaram wearing the Kodanda, Flute, Gadha, Conch and Disc as Ram Krishna Govinda gliding atop Surya Prabha vahanam paraded along four mada streets with majesty.

Sri Krishna Leela Captivates Devotees









The students of TTD run Sri Venkateswara College of Music and Dance of Tirupati performed an amazing episode of Srikrishna Leela under the choreography of Sri Sunil Kumar on Sunday evening before Chandraprabha Vahanam.


A total of 11 groups comprising 266 artists from AP, TN, TS, Karnataka, UP, and Odisha participated and entertained the devotees by performing their art forms with finesse.
