On the auspicious Uttana Dwadasi also known as Kaisika Dwadasi, Tulasi Damodara Puja was held on Friday evening at Vasanta Mandapam.

 

As part of special festivities in Karthika Masam, Karthika Vishnupuja Sankalpam, Samasta Devataradhana, Krishna Astottara Satanamavali were rendered in front of Utsava deities of Srivaru with Sridevi and Bhudevi.

 

Facing the Utsava deities Tulasi (Holy Basil) and Usiri (Amla) trees were placed. Archaka Sri Ramakrishna Seshasai explained about the importance of Sri Tulasi Damodara Puja.

 

Dharmagiri Veda Pundits and devotees participated.

 The Transport wing of TTD on Friday performed the Karthika Masa Puja at Akka Devatas temple on the first ghat road.

 

It is a well-known tradition of performing such puja by TTD drivers and locals at Akka Devatas temple annually seeking safe journeys for devotees and drivers as well.

 

TTD Transport wing officials and locals participated in the puja.

TTD is organising Balalayam  at Sri Veda Narayana Swamy temple in Nagulapuram from December 3-7 with Ankurarpanam on December 2 evening.

 

As part of the Balalayam, a model sanctum is built with portraits of main idols to facilitate daily pujas and repairs will be taken.

 

In connection with the auspicious fete, TTD is observing several rituals daily for five days from December 3 onwards at the Yagashala of the temple.

 

On the last day on December 7 Purnahuti, Kumbha Pradakshina, Divya Prabandha Sattumora will be performed and Balalaya Samprokshana will be held on Makara Lagnam between 9.20 am and 10.10 am.
