Karthika Deepam Festival Enhances the Divine Glitter to Srivari Temple

Devotees had a divine sight of celestial ghee lit lamps on Sunday evening at Srivari temple under the carpet of dazzling diyas all around from Mahadwaram to Ananada Nilayam and outside temples.

With the shine of thousands of lamps, the Karthika Deepotsavam was observed by TTD with religious fervour.

TTD conducted the festival of lights, the annual Karthika Deepotsavam at Srivari temple after daily Kainkaryams and Nivedana on Sunday evening.

The bright ghee lamps were placed initially in 100 Mukullu, (mud pots) everywhere between 6 pm to 8 pm by temple staff to mark the auspicious festival in the holy month of Karthika.

The Diyas were lighted at all locations inside the Srivari temple like sub temples, Bangaru vakili inside Vimana prakaram and mandapams, Vendi Vakili etc. inside the Sampangi prakaram besides the mahadwaram etc. Bedi Anjaneya temple, Sri Varaha Swami temple and Sri Swami Pushkarani were also decorated with lights showcasing Tirumala as Bhooloka Vaikuntham.

Tirumala Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, one of the chief priests Sri Venugopala Deekshitulu, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, DLO Sri Veeraju, Temple DyEO Sri Lokanatham, VGO Sri Nanda Kishore and other officials were present.

In view of festival, TTD has cancelled the Sahara Deepalankara Seva at Srivari temple.

Karthika Jwala Thoranam Held

As a part of the auspicious Karthika Deepam, the ceremonious Jwala Toranam was observed with religious fervor in Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple in Tirupati on Sunday evening.

The Shiva Lingam and Thrishoolam arranged at Unjal Mandapam stood as a cynosure to devotees on the occasion.

Scores of devotees thronged and lit lamps everywhere in and around the temple premises.

DyEO Sri Devendra Babu, AEO Sri Subbaraju, Superintendent Sri Bhupati, archakas and others were present.
