Students Should Rewrite History - AP Minister RK Roaj








The Honourable Minister for Tourism, Culture and Youth Advancement of Andhra PradeshSmt RK Roja on Tuesday exhorted girl students to excel in every chosen field fighting against all odds and insults which they come across in their journey to achieve their goals and rewrite history. 


Addressing the Annual Alumni Meet in the TTD run seven decades old Sri Padmavati women's degree and PG college as its chief guest the AP minister who was a student over three decades ago from the college said studying in TTD educational institutions itself is a huge blessing to the students. She expressed immense happiness and became emotional for visiting the college after three decades terming it as the most memorable and unforgettable moment in her life.


She said when she was pursuing her education there are no avenues like what the girl students are having now. The Governments today are promoting women education extensively and all student should utilize the opportunity to achieve goals and bring glory to their institution, teachers and parents. 


She thanked her lecturers on the occasion and advocated that studying in SPW helped her to build a successful career in her life be it film industry or politics. 


Dr Krishna Prashanti who is a contemporary of Smt Roja, Retired Telugu Head of the Department and Octogenarian  Dr DM Premavati, TTD DEO Dr Bhaskar Reddy also spoke on the occasion.


Cultural shows presented by students in the afternoon session enthralled all.


College Principal Dr Mahadevamma, Alumini president Smt Vasudha, Warden Smt Vidyullata, Telugu HoD Dr Krishnaveni, retired Principal Dr  Swarajya Lakshmi,  old students and students were also present.
