One More Windmill for Tirumala








The Mumbai-based Vish Wind Infrastructure Limited has donated 800 kilowatts of electricity-generating turbines worth Rs.5 crore to TTD.


TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy visited the GNC area along with the Engineering officials of TTD to inspect the ongoing installation works. The TTD Chairman Sri. Bhumana Karunakara Reddy will commence the power generation after getting approval from APSEB soon. 


This wind turbine will generate 18 lakh units of electricity per year and will also save Rs.one crore per year for TTD.


About 15 years ago, this company has already installed two wind turbines that generates 1.03 megawatts of electricity for the needs of TTD. This company is also taking care of its management and maintenance. They will also look after the maintenance of the 0.8-megawatt electricity-generating windmill that is currently being set up.

Vaikuntadwara Darshanam From December 23rd to January 1st - TTD Eo




TTD will be providing Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanam to Srivari devotees from December 23 to January 1, said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.

Before taking the calls from pilgrims during the monthly Dial your EO programme held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, the EO briefed the pilgrims on upcoming festivities, development activities and other important programmes.


Some excerpts:


TTD is organising the Ten-day Vaikuntadwara Darshan for devotees from December 23 to January 1. Elaborating on the importance of the ten day Vaikunthadwara Darshan he said, six months of Uttarayana period is considered 12 hours in the Morning in Vaikuntham the abode of Sri Maha Vishnu while the remaining six months of Dakshinayana is considered to be 12 hours of Night. The period of ten days in Dhanurmasam is equivalent to 40 minutes in Vaikuntham as mentioned in the sacred texts of Hindu Sanatana Dharma.  During this time, Sri Maha Vishnu attends the court and provides darshan to His devaganas (here devotees) which is equal to ten days of Vaikunthadwara Darshanam. So all these ten days are considered sacred, he maintained.


The EO said, already 2.25 lakh 300 special Darshan tickets, 20000 SRIVANI tickets were released online for ten days. While other 4.23lakh tokens will be issued by TTD in the counters at ten places in Tirupati as in last year. The mode of issuing tokens is being negotiated, he added.


TTD has cancelled privileged Darshan to senior citizen, challenged persons, NRI, defence services etc on these ten days.


From December 22-24 and December 31- January 1 TTD has cancelled all arjita Sevas like Kalyanotsavam,Unjal Seva and arjita Brahmotsavam. All these Sevas will be performed in Ekantham from December 25-30.


Sahasra Deepalankara Seva will be conducted in Ekantham from December 23- January 1.


On Ekadasi day Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam will be conducted at the Nada Niranjanam platform and in view of Gita Jayanti, Bhagavad Gita Parayanam will also be held same day.


Karthika Masa Mahotsavams


Karthika Vana Bhojanam will be held on December 3 at Paruveta Mandapam in Tirumala.


Rudrabisekam began on November 14 at SV Vedic University ane will continue till December 12.


Homa Mahotsavam began at Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple from November 24 and will continue till December 12.

On December 28 Pranaya Kalaha Mahotsavam will be observed at Tirumala.


Introduced Caution Deposit Refund Tracker for the benefit of devotees to track the position of refund of caution deposit refunds due to them.

Sri Srinivasa Divyanugraha Visesha Homam is A Boon for Devotees -Pilgrim Caller



Pouring in laurels on Sri Srinivasa Divyanugraha Visesha Homam commenced by TTD at Alipiri Gomandiram on November 23, a pilgrim caller Sri Eswar from Tirupati described it as a boon for devotees who wish to perform the sacred pyre on their special days and thanked TTD Chairman and the EO for introducing the unique Homam for the sake of devotees.


The monthly Dial your EO programme was held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday wherein the TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy attended to the calls of 24 pilgrims. The caller from Tirupati also sought EO to introduce a Twitter account for TTD to resolve the issues of pilgrims as the Dial you EO programme lasts only for an hour. Replying to the caller, the EO said, already TTD has a call centre, a Whatsapp number for the redressal of devotees' complaints. However, he said, he will look into the possibility of opening a Twitter account for TTD. 


Another caller, Sri Sudhakar Rao from Cheepurupalli suggested EO to check the possibility of Giripradakshinam for Tirumala also akin to Tiruvannamalai to which the EO responded, it is indeed a great suggestion. But due to its geographical composition, Giripradakshina is not possible in Tirumala, instead, the possibility of Maha Pradakshinam shall be checked for devotees taking a walk around the temple in the Outer Ring Road, he opinioned. 


A pilgrim caller Sri Appanna from Vizag sought EO to provide Akshata(holy rice) along with prasadam to devotees to which the EO answered it is not possible as the Akshata is provided only to Kalyanotsavam devotees. And to his another feedback he said, TTD has already prepared a chart to perform arjita sevas in Sri Godadevi sameta Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Visakhapatnam which will be commenced soon.


The EO said stringent action will be taken against the staff in the luggage counter on which the pilgrim caller Sri Kumar from Rajamundry complained. Another caller Sri Ravi from Kavali suggested EO to commence an Eye Bank on the lines of Blood Bank to which he replied they will look into the possibility of establishing one at SVIMS superspecialty hospital.


Another caller Smt Vijaya Lakshmi sought the EO to facelift Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple in Warangal to which the EO said the team from TTD will inspect and see the possibility of developing the temple with SRIVANI funds.


When a Chennai-based devotee Sri Dhananjay sought EO to appoint an officer for the Alwar Divyaprabandha Project to which the EO reacted already an officer is there to take care of the programmes related to that Project.


Similarly, callers Sri Srinivas, Sri Shankar Goud from Hyderabad sought the EO to improve the quality of laddu prasadam and reduce the usage of sugar candy in it to which the EO said, laddus are being prepared by Potu workers as per the Dittam. However, he said once again they are instructed to maintain the quality, he added.

Octopus Mock Drill at Sri Govindaraja Swamy Vari Temple



The Octopus Team has organized a mock drill at Sri Govindarajaswami temple in Tirupati on Friday with the task of rescuing the devotees from terrorist attacks.


The mock drill is a part of the annual exercise by the Octopus force at several temples and government buildings across the country led by its DSP Sri Krishna and the supervision of Octopus SP Sri B Ravichandran.


The temple staff, archakas, civil police, medics and reserve police were explained about the steps to be followed during terrorist attacks.

Divine Facets in Pancharatra Agama









Akhila Bharata Bhagavad Shastra Pancharatra Agama Vidwat Sammelan begins at Tiruchanoor Astana Mandapam on Friday.


On this occasion, Melkote Pontiff Sri Shatagopa Ramanuja Jeersawamy advocated that the Pancharatra Agama is the basis for all temple Nitya Kainkaryams and also the narrative of all facets of Sri Venkateswara.


He was participating as chief guest at the three-day conference of the vidwat sammelan organised jointly by the TTD's Alwar Divya Prabanda Project and the Bhagavat Shastra Pancharatra Agama Samrakshana Sabha.


He said the Agama contained basic tenets of worshiping and temple maintenance.


Sri Ananta Venkata Dikshitulu, Pundit at Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham in Tirumala said the PPancharatra agama comprised secrets of Vedas.


Sri Rama Bhattar of Srirangam Pancharatra Agama Samrakshana Sabha , also spoke about the great information treasurised in the Agama that is useful for today's life style.

Buses Donated





TTD received two buses as a donation on Friday morning. Sri Satyanarayana, President of Chennai-based SRM University, Vice Chancellor Prof. Narayana Rao handed over two buses worth around Rs.80 lakhs.


They handed over the keys to the TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy in front of Srivari Temple.


TTD Transport Department GM Sri. Sesha Reddy and Tirumala DI Sri. Janakirami Reddy participated in this program.

Rudra Homa Begins at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Vari Temple







As part of the month-long Homa Mahotsavam being organised by TTD in Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple in Tirupati, Sri Rudra Yagam on Friday.


The ten-day-long Rudra Yagam began with Vedic rituals at temple Yagashala in the morning and concluded in the evening with Rudratrtshati, Bilvarchana, Nivedana  Visesha Deeparadhana and Harati.


The auspicious Homa will be held till December 11 for the well-being of humanity.


Temple DyEO Sri Devendra Babu, AEO Sri Subba Raju, Superintendent Sri Bhupati and others were present.
