International 63rd Challenged Persons Day Observed







The 63rd International Challenged Persons' Day was observed in a grand manner at TTD Administrative Buildings in Tirupati on Monday.

 

On the ocassion, TTD  Welfare Officer Smt Snehalata presented awards to nine challenged persons including blind and dumb who excelled in their fields. She also gave away prizes to winners of sports events held on November 27.

 

Speaking on the occasion some specially abled employees complimented TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam for giving permission to observe the event.

 

Restrictions on Two Wheeler Movement Timings



In view of the cyclonic downpour coupled with foggy climate, TTD  has banned plying of two-wheelers on ghat roads. The two-wheelers will be allowed only between 6am and 8pm till the weather conditions turn to normalcy.


TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam inspected the ghat roads along with officials concerned on Monday evening and gave valuable suggestions to the officials to arrange emergency measures for the convenience of devotees.  


In this background, TTD appeals to devotees to take note of restrictions and co-operate with the management.

Tirumala Dams Full to Theri Capacities



All the five major dams in Tirumala are full to their ca


pacities with the incessant rains from the past four days.

 

Papavinasanam, Akasaganga, Gogarbham, Kumaradhara and Pasupudhara are the chief water sources in Tirumala. Water is also drawn from Kalyani Dam in Tirupati. About 100 mm of rainfall has been recorded in Tirumala in just 24hours.

 

As on December 4 at 8am, the water level in all the five dams reached full capacities. Details as below...

2)GG DAM :- 2887' 00"

3)AKG DAM :- 859.80mtrs

FRL :- 865.00mtrs

 

4)Kumaradhara Dam :- 896.20mtrs

FRL :- 898.24mtrs

 

5)Pasupudhara Dam :- 895.90mtrs

FRL :- 898.28mtrs

 

The water levels in all the dams will suffice the drinking water needs for the next 214 days.

Chief Pontiff of Sri Rangam Srimath Andavan Ashramam Offered Prayers to Lord Venkateswara






His Holiness Sri Sri Varaha Mahadesikan (Andavan), Chief Pontiff of Srirangam Srimath Andavan Ashramam offered prayers in Tirumala temple on Monday.

 

He was received at the Sacred Fig tree located near Old Annaprasadam Complex as per temple traditional honours (Pedda Maryada). Later TTD Chairman B Karunakara Reddy welcomed the seer, while the archakas took the Pontiff to Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple with Isthikapal honours.

  

CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishor, DyEO Sri Lokanadham, Temple Peishkar Sri Srihari, Parpatheyadar Sri Thulasi Prasad and others were present.


Akhanda Parayanam on 5th Dec




The fifth edition  of Akhanda Ayodyakanda Parayanam will take place at Nadaneerajanam platform in Tirumala on December 5 between 7am and 9am.

 

A total of 186 shlokas from chapters 14-17 will be recited by Vedic pundits and devotees.

 

The programme will be telecasted live on SVBC for the sake of global devotees.
