Dhanur Masa Program From 17th Dec to 14th Jan

As a part of holy Dhanurmasa Dharmic programs,  TTD is organising  Tiruppavai Pravachanams at Tirupati and in all 216 centres across the country from December 17- January 14, under the aegis of the Alwar Divya Prabandha project.

The special feature of the Dhanur masa program is that in the place of Suprabhatam, Tiruppavai is being observed in all Sri Vaishnava temples during that one month.

In Tirupati, Tiruppavai will be recited at Annamacharya Kalamandiram.

Andal Sri Goda Devi, one among the 12 Alwars, had observed Dhanurmasa Vratam for the prosperity, and health of humanity. She penned 30 Pasuras in Tiruppavai Divya Prabandham about the vratam procedure.

The 10th skanda of Bhagavatam indicates that Gopikas performed the Vratam seeking Sri Krishna's blessings.

The tradition is in practice at all Sri Vaishnava temples where Tiruppavai Sattumora is held annually during the holy Dhanur masam.
