GRAND FINALE OF RUDRA YAGAM AT SRI KAPILESWARA SWAMY TEMPLE

 The 11-day-long Rudra yagam conducted at Sri Kapileswara temple in Tirupati as part of the month-long Homa mahotsavams concluded on Monday.


Later in the evening, the Siva Parvati Kalyanotsavam was held. As part of the Sri Chandikeswara Homam commencing on December 12 the Kalasa sthapana, Kalasa Aradhana and Homa will be performed at night.

CHIEF PONTIFF OF SRI PALIMARU MATHA, UDIPI OFFERED PRAYERS TO LORD VENKATESWARA



TIRUMALA, 10 Dec. 23: His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Vidyadheesha  Theertha Swamiji, Sri Palimaru  Matha, Udipi offered prayers in the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara on Monday.

 

He was accorded a traditional welcome amidst the chanting of Veda mantras. TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy welcomed the pontiff of Palimaru Peetham.


DyEO Sri Lokanadham, Temple Peishkar Sri Srihari and others were present.

AUTONOMOUS STATUS GRANTED TO SV ARTS COLLEGE



The UGC has granted 10 years autonomous status to the TTD run one of most prestigious and seven and a half decades old  SV Arts College enabling it an opportunity for independent decisions towards the development of the institution with regard to the method of teaching, conducting exam, syllabus change to tackle global challenges etc.


TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy and EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy complimented the JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi, DEO Sri Bhaskar Reddy, Principal Smt Narayanamma, faculty and students on their achievement.


Among others social approach in teaching, advanced techniques of course, best memory methods and campus selection promotion. 


The college commenced in 1945  by the then TTD board  Chairman Diwan Sri Raghunath Reddy for the education of the poor in Rayalaseema districts with just 80 students and has at present 2735 students. 

It got NAAC recognition on 2022 September 13.


It is ranked in the quality management system ( ISO 9001:2015) environmental management system etc and bagged ISO ranks. 


The college has an Army wing, Air wing, R and V Regiment, two NSS units, one special placement cell, a competitive exams cell, active academic council, science club along with Ambedkar Regional Study Center and Indira Gandhi National Open University Study Center.


Recently Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy launched the first block. 

LADDUS PREPARATION AS PER DITTAM- POTU WORKERS

The Sri Vaishnava Brahmin workers who have been engaged in the task of making Srivari laddu Prasadams since several centuries for generations at Srivari temple in Tirumala asserted that there is no compromise on the quality and taste in preparing the most sought after and prestigious Laddu Prasadams.


In the light of some suggestions made by the devotees during the recent monthly Dial your EO program about the quality of Laddus, a meeting was held with the Laddu workers with the concerned officials at Vaibhavotsava Mandapam in Tirumala on Saturday. 


Speaking on the occasion, they said making Srivari laddus is their prime duty since several centuries. There is no change or compromise in the taste or quality of Laddus as the ingredients used  are as per Dittam as supplied by the TTD officials. They affirmed that there is no scope on diminished quality of laddus.


Srivari temple DyEO Sri Lokanatham, Peishkar Sri Srihari, Potu Peishkar Sri Srinivasulu were also present. 

PEJAVAR SEER OFFERS PRAYERS IN THE TIRUMALA SHRINE

HH Sri Sri Vishveshaprasanna Teertha Swamiji, Peetadhipathi of Sri Pejavara Mutt, Udupi, Karnataka offered prayers in the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara on Saturday.

He was accorded a traditional welcome amidst the chanting of Veda mantras. Temple DyEO Sri Lokanadham welcomed the pontiff of Pejavara peetham.


Temple Peishkar Sri Srihari and others were present.


GRAND VANA BHOJANAM HELD AT SRIVARI METTU

As part of the decade-old tradition, TTD organised Karthika Vana Bhojanam on Saturday at Paruveta Mandapam near Srivari Mettu.


Earlier the utsava idols of  Sri Kalyana Venkateswara swami and His consorts were brought in parade to Paruveta Mandapam and offered Snapana Tirumanjanam and later vana bhojanam was conducted.


Archaka of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara swami temple Sri Narayanacharyulu said such an event was a favourite of Lord Vishnu and Karthika Masa Damodara Vana Bhojanam was launched in Srinivasa Mangapuram temple from 2013 onwards by TTD.


While large number of devotees participated, the artists of the Sri Annamacharya project performed sankeertans on the occasion.
