Inter Polytechnic Sports Meet Kick Started








The regional Inter Polytechnic Sports and Games meet organised by the state government technical education department kick-started at the TTDs Sri Padmavati Mahila Polytechnic College on Tuesday.


After the conclusion of the sports meet on Wednesday evening, the winners will participate in the 2-day state-level contests to be held at Anantapur on January 4& 5.


Winners 


Students of SPW Polytechnic achieved first and 2 nd place in Discuss throw and third place in Shotput, Winners in Volleyball and chess games.


Sri Vidyaniketan students bagged Shot put titles and the Palamneru Government Polytechnic girl students stood runners up in volleyball.


SV University Registrar Sri Mohammed Hussain, TTD DEO Dr Bhaskar Reddy, SVU regional RJD Nirmal Kumar Priya, College Principal Dr Asunta, principals of several TTD Educational institutions, students and sportsmen from 10 Polytechnic institutions were present.

Tokens Issuing Continues till SSD Quota Completes
















TTD JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi on Tuesday inspected all 90 counters located in nine places set ready for issuing Vaikuntadwara Darshan time slot tokens from December 22 afternoon 2 pm onwards.


Speaking on the occasion she said counters are being set up at Vishnu Nivasam, Srinivasam, Govindarajaswami Choultries, Bhudevi complex, Ramachandra Pushkarani, Indira Maidan, Jeevakona High School, Rama Naidu High school in Bairagi pettada and ZP school in MR palli. More than four lakh Sarva Darshan tokens will be issued till the quota is exhausted.


She said special queue lines, barricades set up at token issue locations besides arrangements made for the supply of snacks, coffee and tea. Devotees with tokens will be allowed to Tirumala only 24 hours ahead of their time slot for Darshan. 


She said the announcement will be made at all the counters that Devotees without token may come to Tirumala but not allowed for Srivari darshan 


She said display boards with QR codes will also be installed at each counter and also at important junctions in the temple city so that devotees from other regions could easily locate them and reach to get tokens.


She appealed to devotees to check the information on the availability of Sarva Darshan tokens for Vaikuntadwara Darshan and plan their visit to Tirumala accordingly to beget Srivari blessings.

AP Guv Offers Prayers at Srivari Temple

The Honorable Governor of AP Sri Abdul Nazeer on Tuesday offered prayers at Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirumala.







Earlier he was given a warm reception at  Mahadwaram by TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy and EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy while the archakas welcomed with the traditional Istikaphal temple honours.


After Darshan of Mula Virat, the Governor and his entourage were offered Vedaseervachanam by Vedic pundits at Ranganayakula Mandapam.


Later the Chairman and EO presented  Srivari Thirtha Prasadams and 2024 TTD Calendars and Diaries.


Temple Dyeo Sri Lokanatham, VGO Sri Nanda Kishore and others were present.


Centuries-Old Cleaning Ritual Observed - TTD Chairman









TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy said the centuries-old temple cleansing ritual, the Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was observed in Srivari temple on Tuesday retaining the divinity and austerity.


After the ritual, talking to media outside the temple, the TTD Chairman the unique fete includes cleaning of the main temple, sub shrines, puja utensils with an aromatic ingredient called Parimalam is an age-old tradition since several centuries.


He said this aromatic mixture also acts as a disinfectant and enhances the divinity and vibrant charm of the temple.


Earlier large number of TTD employees, officials and Archakas participated in the temple cleansing task between 6 am and 10 am and after special pujas Sarva Darshan commenced.
