Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple annual Theppotsavam commenced with grandeur on Saturday.

In this Float festival which was held between 6.30 pm to 8 pm, on the first day Sri Kodandarama Swamy along with Sita Lakshmana went for a procession on the finely decked float in the Pushkarini. 

The devotees had darshan of deities who went five rounds. 

On this occasion, bhajans, Harikatha and music programs were organized under the auspices of TTD's Hindu Dharmaprachara Parishad and Annamacharya Project.

AEO Sri Munikrishna Reddy, Superintendent Sri Narayana, Temple Inspector Sri Dhananjaya, other officials and a large number of devotees participated in this program.

On the auspicious day of Radhasapthami  Sri Kodandarama Swami rode on Surya Prabha Vahanam on Friday along Mada streets.

Thereafter Swami took out celestial ride on Chandra Prabha Vahana at the night and blessed devotees.

Ratha Sapthami celebrations at Sri Govindarajaswami temple kicked off on Friday with Sri Chakrathalwar procession in early hours to Alwar Thirtham at Sri Kapileswara temple and thereafter both swami and ammavaru blessing devotees riding several vahanas.

From Surya Prabha Vahana in early morning the Swami rode on Garuda Vahana at night to culminate the vahana sevas.

DyEO Smt Shanti, AEO Sri Munikrishna Reddy, Superintendent Sri Mohan Rao and temple inspector Sri Dhananjaya were present.

On the occasion of Surya Jayanti grand Ratha Sapthami fete was observed at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara temple, Srinivasa Mangapuram on Friday with several special programs.       

As part of celebrations after morning Kainkaryams, Swami along with His two consorts was taken out along Mada streets on Bangaru Tiruchi to bless devotees.

Goddess of riches, Sri Padmavati Devi took out a celestial ride on several vahanams to bless devotees and grant boons on the occasion of Ratha Sapthami fete on Friday from morning to night.

The religious fervour of bliss which began with Surya Prabha Vahanam in the morning ended with Aswa Vahana in the evening after a break for snapana thirumanjanam in the afternoon in Tiruchanoor .

Artists of HDPP, Dasa Sahitya projects and SV College of music and Dance presented kolatams, chakka bhajans etc. to engage the devotees.
