Employees Should Work With Sportsmanship
















TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, said that the employees should work with sportsmanship in the service of God and provide better services to the devotees. 


The annual sports competition for the TTD employees started on Friday at the Parade Grounds the administration building in Tirupati.


On this occasion, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy made sports pledge with the employees. 


First, Chairman and the EO jointly unveiled the sports flag followed by letting off the Pigeons and later employees conducted a march past.


The Chairman, who was the chief guest of the program, said that to reduce the mental stress of the TTD employees and to increase their interest in sports, it has become customary to conduct sports competitions every year.  He said that physical endurance and rejuvenation comes with sports.  He said that his board has allocated Rs.10 crore towards the construction of an indoor stadium considering the interest of the employees towards sports. Employees are asked to show good talent and participate in sports to win prizes.


Smt. Snehalatha, Deputy EO of TTD Welfare Department said that every year since 1977 sports competitions are being conducted for the employees for their welfare and their mental development.  Last year, 829 men and 422 women participated.  In these competitions, the first place winners will be awarded Rs.2 thousand, the second place winners will be awarded Rs.1800/- and the third place winners will be awarded bank gift cards worth Rs.1600/-, she added.


On this occasion, the TTD Chairman and EO started playing volleyball.  In the inaugural program, the names of the employees registered to participate in the sports, the teams, the competition schedule and other details were informed. 


Separate competitions are being held for men and women employees.  It includes tug of war, chess, volleyball, caroms, ball badminton, football, table tennis, cricket, shuttle, tennis and other sports.  Along with the parade ground, sports competitions will also be organized for the employees at the Recreation Hall, SV High School Ground, SV Junior College Ground, SV Arts College Ground and Srinivasa Sports Complex.


TTD JEO Sri. Veerabrahamam, CVSO Sri. Narasimha Kishore, Chief Engineer Sri. Nageswara Rao, Chief Audit Officer Sri. Sesha Sailendra, CPRO Dr. T. Ravi, VGO Sri. Balireddy and employees participated in this program.

Pulse Polio in Tirumala on 03rd March




The pulse polio immunization drive to administer the polio vaccine to children below the age of five, would be held in Tirumala on March 3.


The programme will commence in front of Tirumala temple at 6am on March 3 and conclude at 6pm.


The pulse polio drops administration centres are being placed at different areas in Tirumala for the convenience of both the visiting pilgrims as well Tirumala locals.


A total of 25 centres have been identified which includes Aswini Hospital, RTC Bus stand, GNC toll gate, CRO, PAC 1 and 2, New bus stand, Health Office, VQC 1 and 2, ATC, MBC 34, Varahaswamy Rest House 1, Rambhageecha Rest House 1, KKc, Medaramitta, Papavinasanam, Supadham, footpath, Balaji Nagar Vinayaka temple, Balaji Nagar Balavadi, SV High School, Employees' Dispensary besides inside and outside Tirumala temple.


An awareness rally will commence at 10.30am on Saturday from SV High School to Balaji Nagar covering all places followed by the mike announcements from 2pm onwards for the information of pilgrims and locals. 


Sri Kapileswara Swamy Varu Ride on Swan Carrier










On the first day of Sri Kapileswara Swamy Brahmotsavam in Tirupati, Sri Kapileswara Swamy offered blessings to the devotees in the streets on the Swan carrier from 7 to 9 pm on Friday. 


Temple Deputy EO Sri. Devendra Babu, AEO Sri. Subbaraju, Superintendent Sri. Bhupathi, Temple Inspectors Sri. Ravikumar and Sri Balakrishna participated in this program.


Impressive music and dance performances


The music and dance programs organized by Sri Venkateswara College of Music and DanceCollege and Sri Venkateswara Nadaswara and Dolu School on the first day of the annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Kapileswara Swamy on Friday night were impressive.


As a part of this, Nadaswara and Dolu concert was performed on the stage set up in the temple premises. 


In this, Sri Kesanna, Sri Venkanna on Nadaswaram, Sri Nagaraju and Sri Chandrasekhar on the drums performed with amazing rhythm. 


Similarly, vocal lecturer Dr. Vandana with her disciple group performed a vocal concert.


College Principal Dr.  Uma Muddubala and others participated.
