Kumbhabhishekam of Sri Brihadeesswaralayam Held in Dhyanaramam











The inauguration and Kumbhabhishekam of Sri Brihadishwara Swamy Temple in Dhyanaramam in the premises of Sri Venkateswara Vedic University was done with grandeur on Friday wherein TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy participated in the traditional puja. 


TTD built this temple with the funds of the Srivani Trust.


As part of the Kumbhabhishekam program Ganapati Puja, Punyahavachanam and Panchagavyaradhana were performed. 


After that they performed Rutvik Varanam, Mritsamgrahanam, Ankurarpanam, Vastu Homam, Ksheeradhivasam, Jaladhivasam, Dhanyadhivasam, Sayanadhivasam, Navratna and Dhatunyasam.


Murthyhoma, Moolamantra homas, Kalahomas and Shanti homas were organized as part of the ritual. 


After that Maha Purnahuti and Kumbhabhishekam Samprokshanam programs were organized.

  

JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, Vedic University Vice Chancellor Acharya Rani Sadashivamurthy, Chief Engineer Sri Nageswara Rao, CAuO Shri Sesha Sailendra, Vedic University Registrar Acharya Radhagovinda Tripathi, faculty, students, devotees participated in this program.


TTD Chairman Inagurates Mahila Degree College Hostel Block















TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy inaugurated the newly built Harini Hostel Block at Sri Padmavathi Mahila Degree and PG College in Tirupati on Friday. 


Later, Chairman and JEO Sri. Veerabrahmam planted saplings in the premises of the new building. They inspected the facilities provided to the students in the rooms of the hostel building.


Speaking on this occasion, the Chairman said that a new building with four floors has been constructed at a cost of Rs.14 crores.  With this, 672 female students in 112 rooms have got the facility of additional accommodation, he said. 


The building has 5 study rooms, a recreation hall, 105 bathrooms and 105 toilets.  He said that a total of 2800 female students are studying in the college, and with the construction of the new building, a total of 1850 students will be accommodated in the hostel. 


He said that efforts will be made to provide hostel accommodation to all the students studying in TTD educational institutions. 


Apart from textbooks, students should also read other books for acquiring knowledge and said that one good book is equal to a hundred friends.  He said that his knowledge of the subject increased only by reading the books.  Lifetime can be comfortable if the student's time is utilized completely.

Chakrasnanam Held










Chakrasnanam was observed on the last day of the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy at Srinivasa Mangapuram on Friday.


Priests, officials and devotees took bath on a large scale.


From 8.30 am to 9.30 am in front of the Pushkarini, Sridevi and Bhudevi along with Sri Kalyana Venkateshwaswami and Sri Sudarshan Chakratthalwar were rendered Snapanam.


After that Chakrasnanam was performed.


On this occasion, TTD Veda Parayanamdars recited Upanishad Mantras, Dashashanti Mantras, Panchasukta Mantras like Purushukta, Srisukta, Bhusukta, Nilasukta, Vishnusukta, Divyaprabandha and related Vedas during Abhishekah.  In this ceremony, garlands of the best species of each type of flower were decorated for Swami and Ammavar.


The Brahmotsavam ends with Dhwajavarohanam at 6pm to 7 pm.

Surutupalli Sri Pallikondeswara Swamy Varu Offered Silks on Behalf of TTD




On behalf of TTD, silk cloths were presented to Sri Pallikondeswara Swami at Surutupalli, a famous Siva temple, on the occasion of Mahasivaratri.


Srivari Temple Parupattedar Sri Umamaheshwara Reddy and Vedic Pundits took the Pattu Vastrams in a procession to the temple. 


The temple authorities welcomed and made darshan arrangements.  Silk clothes were presented to the Lord. 


On the occasion of Mahashivratri, it is customary to offer silk clothes to this temple on behalf of TTD.


Assistant Commissioner of Endowments Department Sri. Ramachandra Reddy, Chairman of the Temple Sri. Balaji Reddy, EO Sri. Saravana and others participated in this program.

Ceremonial Abhishekam to Kshetrapalaka Rudra









Abhishekam was performed on Friday to the Kshetrapalaka Rudra  near Gogarbham in Tirumala. 


It is customary to perform abhishekam every year on the occasion of Mahashivratri to Lord Rudra who is the Kshetrapalaka of Tirumala.


On this occasion, officials and priests from Srivari temple reached the Kshetrapalaka Shila with temple etiquette. 


Special abhishekam was done with milk, curd, sandalwood, cheese, coconut water etc.  After that an offering was made.  Prasadams were distributed to the devotees.

Musical Treat Spreads Devotional in Kapila Theertham











The music and dance programs organized by Sri Venkateswara College Music and Dance along with its sister concern Sri Venkateswara Nadaswara and Dolu School on the eighth day of the annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Kapileswara Swamy have enthralled the devotees.


As part of this, on the stage set up in the premises of the temple, the vocal lecturer Sri. Sabarigirish along with his group of students sang many Sankeertans in harmony.  They were assisted by Sri Jayaram on violin and Sri Raghuram on mridangam.


Later, Smt. Srivani, head of the Veena department of the college, assisted by Sri Ramesh on the mridangam and Sri Raghuram on the ghatam rendered a soulful concert


After that a Bharatanatyam performance by the alumni of the college Smt. Chaitanya Kusumapriya and Sri Modini Suresh went on with a good performance.


In this program, College Special Officer, CAuO Sri. Seshashailendra, Principal Dr.  Uma Muddubala, other lecturers, students and devotees participated.


Sri Kalayana Venkateswara Swamy Vari Brahmotsavams Concludes









The nine-day annual Brahmotsavam at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram concluded with Dhwajavarohanam on Friday evening.


All the deities who had been invited on the flag-raising ceremony were bid adieu after deposing the Garuda flag in a ceremonious way.


JEO Sri Veerabraham, Temple Special Grade Deputy EO Smt Varalakshmi, AEO Sri Gopinath, Advisor of Vaikhanasa Agama Sri Mohana Rangacharyulu, Superintendent Sri Chengalrayu, Temple Priests Balaji Rangacharyulu, Temple Inspector Shri Kiran Kumar Reddy participated in this program.
