TTD JEO Sri Veerabraham asked everyone to take Babu Jagajjivanram's life as an example and work hard to achieve their dreams.
Dr. Babu Jagjeevanram's 117th birth anniversary celebrations were grandly organized by TTD at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on Friday.
On this occasion, JEO informed that Babu Jagajjeevan Ram, who was born in a low caste, despite having no money and faced caste discrimination, overcame them. With discipline, perseverance and honesty in Indian politics, he held various ministerial posts and set an example for future generations.
He said that before and after India's Independence, he studied the problems in the society and worked hard to solve them. As the first labor minister after independence, he brought many laws for the advancement of workers.
Later many TTD employees gave speeches on the occasion.
Earlier, puja was performed to the portrait of Srivaru and Pushpanjali was offered to the portrait of Dr Babu Jagajjeevanram.
Deputy EOs Smt Snehalatha, Sri Devendra Babu, other dignitaries and a large number of TTD employees participated in this program.
The Director of SVIMS super specialty hospital Dr. Ravi Kumar stated that saint poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya preached the devotees that there is no other way to know the philosophy of God but to surrender to Him with devotion.
As part of the 521st Death Anniversary events of Sri Thallapaka Annamacharya, literary conferences began on Friday at the Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati.
Dr. Ravi Kumar, who presided over the conference, lectured on the topic "Annamayya - Yoga Sankeertans" and said that the Ashtakshari Mantra imparted by the famous Sri Vaishnavacharya Bhagavad Ramanuja was propagated by Annamayya through his Sankeertans. Dharma, Bhakti, Surrender and Non-Violence are mainly taught through Annamayya Yoga Sankeertans, he opinioned.
Dr. Rama Rao, an eminent literary scholar from Narasapuram, gave a lecture on 'Annamayya - Bhavukatha' and said that Annamaiya wrote kirtans to sensitize the common people.
Later, the Telugu teacher from Tirupati Sri Ramulu gave a lecture on the topic 'Vaggeyakarulu- Annamayya Pratyekata' and stated that Annamacharya created his literature by combining the essence of Saranagati, Public pulse and Vedas.
Annamacharya Project Director Dr. Akella Vibhishana Sharma and others participated in this program.
The five-day 521st Tallapaka Annamacharya Vardhanti Utsavams commenced with a rendition of Saptagiri Sankeertana Gosti Ganam at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati on the auspicious day of Dwadasi on Friday.
Similar Gosti Ganam will be observed at Tallapaka Dhyana Mandiram in the home turf of the saint poet and also at the 108 feet statue of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya located in Rajampeta-Kadapa highway road on Friday.
Annamacharya Project Director Dr Vibhishana Sharma is supervising all these events in Tirumala, Tirupati and Tallapaka.
The pilgrim callers from across the country have poured in appreciation on various pilgrim initiates taken up by TTD as well the devotional programmes on Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel besides giving some valuable suggestions to TTD to improve further during the monthly Dial your EO.

Callers Smt Annapurna from Visakhapatnam and Sri Venkateswarulu from Tirupati lauded the temple administration for bringing out various reforms in terms of darshan, accommodation and other facilities keeping in view the larger interests of the common pilgrims besides appreciating various devotional programmes like Ayodhyakanda Parayanam, live Utsavams, spiritual discourses etc. on SVBC.
Thanking the callers, the TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy said, such words of appreciation will boost the spirits of all the employees to offer services to the multitude of visiting pilgrims, with more enthusiasm. He said, for the several decades, all the administrators, strong workforce of TTD have been doing a lot to improvise and offer better services to the pilgrims.
Another caller, Sri Pavan Kumar from Hyderabad suggested EO to extend the last bus service from Tirumala to Tirupati by one more hour as many pilgrims are being stranded in Hill town due to time restrictions. Answering the caller, the EO said, the Tirumala Ghat Roads falls under the Forest reserve and they have to follow the Time restrictions between 12midnight till 3am as per the Forest norms as many wild animals crisscross the paths during that period. However, the EO said, during heavy rush period and on special days, the down ghat is kept opened round the clock to avoid pilgrim congestion in Tirumala.
When callers Sri Ramesh from Jagityala and Sri Kiran Kumar from Tirupati brought to the notice of the EO about non-receiving of offline lucky dip messages, the EO said, the app is working perfectly but due to poor range of mobile signals a few pilgrims might be facing this problem. He also said that he has recently held a review meeting with all the mobile companies to enhance their signal capacity to avoid this issue.
Sri Dinesh from Hyderabad sought EO to resume distribution of annaprasadam in compartments which used to be before Covid pandemic, the EO said, TTD has resumed all the services long back post Covid and even a donor has also set up 120 RO plants in Tirumala for providing poor drinking water facility to the devotees at all places.
One Sri Venkatesh from Gujrat sought EO the procedure to uplift an ancient 120 year old Sri Venkateswara temple in the state, to which EO replied TTD will construct or renovate the temple as per the request with Sri Venkateswara Alaya Nirmana Trust (SRIVANI) funds after a team of officers from TTD visit the temple and verify the possibilities.
When Sri Srikant from Manchiryala sought EO about the status of the temple in his place, the EO said, in the last three years we have constructed over 3600 temples out of which 1700 are already completed and others in different states of progress. “We receive thousands of requests every day and construction process will be taken only after thorough verification which takes some time”, he answered.
One pilgrim caller Sri Nagaraju from Hyderabad brought to the notice of EO about the quick darshan and delay in issuing laddus at the Laddu Prasadam Complex due to change of shifts, the EO said, at present nearly 60 counters are operating and we will enhance that by another 15 during the ensuing summer vacation. He said the problems of line waiting queue lines in laddu complex will be sorted out soon.
When a caller Sri Venakteswarulu from Tirupati suggested EO to think of introducing VIP Break darshan also under Lucky Dip, the EO said, he will discuss the possibilities. “Keeping in view the summer rush, we have dispensed with VIP break system at present and increased the SSD (Free Darshan) tokens to 30thousands in Tirupati. Our priority is to provide more dashan hours to common pilgrims during the ensuing summer vacation”, he asserted.
Some other callers have given feedback that included on Srivari Seva, Accommodation and Darshan to Donors, physically challenged, senior citizens and parents with infants etc.
Elaborate arrangements for the ensuing Summer vacation which is going to last for the next three months, has been made in Tirumala anticipating heavy pilgrim influx said, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.
Speaking to media persons after the monthly Dial your EO program held at the Meeting Hall of the TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Friday, he said, the TTD board has resolved to cancel VIP break darshan during the ensuing summer, thereby ensuring more darshan time to the common devotees, during the last Board meeting. Some excerpts of the summer arrangements:
• For the convenience of common devotees TTD has cancelled the VIP Darshan on recommendation letters giving more darshan hours to common devotees
• Non-stop distribution of Anna Prasadam, buttermilk, snacks and medical facilities to the devotees waiting in the queue lines, compartments, outside lines etc.
• Cool paintings and drinking water points all along the Mada streets and Narayanagiri Gardens
• 2500 Srivari Sevakulu apart from Scouts and Guides deployed to provide assistance to devotees during the summer rush.
• Effective strategy and preparations made by TTD forest department and Government fire department to avert flash fire accidents in Seshachala forest regions during summer hot days.
• Appeal to devotees to not waste water and to use it diligently in view of water scarcity during summer days.
Extending Sri Krodhinama Telugu Ugadi wishes to all the Telugu devotees spread across the globe, the TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy said, for the first time, TTD has published the Ugadi Telugu calendar which will be available for sales from next week onwards to devotees.
Addressing the monthly Dial your EO programme on Friday at the Meeting Hall in TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati, before taking the phone calls of the devotees, the TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy highlighted the special arrangements made for comfort and convenience of devotees during summer holidays besides special events like Vontimitta Sri Kodandaramaswami temple annual Brahmotsavams and other religious events in various TTD-run temples etc.
The Highlights includes
• Sri Krodhinama samvatsara Ugadi festival will be celebrated at the Srivari temple on April 9 with Ugadi Asthanam and Panchanga Shravanam by Vedic Pundits
• The TTD Panchangam is now available at TTD information centers at Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Chennai, Bangalore besides Tirumala and Tirupati.
• The 521th Annamaiah death anniversary fete will be grandly celebrated at the Narayanagiri Gardens on April 5 with Saptagiri Sankeertana Gosti.
• From April 21-23 TTD is conducting Srivari Salakatla Vasanthotsavam at Vasantha Mandapam in Tirumala. As part of the fete daily Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed to the utsava deities.
• On April 22 morning, Sri Malayappaswamy and His consorts will be paraded on Swarna Ratham.
• Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple Brahmotsavam at Vontimetta will be observed from April 17-25 with the majestic state festival of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam on April 22.
• Brahmotsavam of Sri Kodandaramaswamy temples commenced from April 5 in Tirupati.
• Brahmotsavam of Sri Pattabhirama Swamy temple of Valmikipuram from April 12-20 .

• The Honourable Chief Justice of India lauded TTD’s Manuscripts Digitisation Project during his recent visit to the SV Vedic University on March 27 and called for a National Mission to preserve, protect and promote the ancient manuscripts in palm leaves, copper plates etc. to empower ancient knowledge in Jyothisha, Nyaya Shastra, Vignana, Vaidya and many other areas for the sake of future generations.

The annual brahmotsavams in Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple in Tirupati commenced on a grand religious note with Dhwajarohanam on Friday.
Under the supervision of Kankanabhattar and Agama Advisor Sri Sitaramacharyulu, the event commenced with the hoisting of Garuda flag atop the temple mast in the auspicious Mesha Laganam between 7.45am and 8.25am amidst chanting of vedic hymns by the Archakas and Pundits.
Earlier, rituals like a procession of Dhwajapatham and Chakrattalwar, Tirumanjanam to the utsava deities etc. were carried out. In the evening, the vahana sevas commences with Pedda Sesha Vahanam between 7pm and 8.30pm.
