AP CS Offers Prayers in Tirumala






The AP State Government Chief Secretary Dr. KS Jawahar Reddy visited Tirumala and offered prayers Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple on Sunday.


After darshan of Srivaru, Vedic scholars offered Vedaseervachanam in Ranganayakula Mandapam.  


After that Srivari Tirtha Prasadams were presented to him by TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.

Ugadi Celebrations in Mahati on April 9th




Under the joint auspices of TTD Hindu Dharmapr Prachara Parishad and Welfare Department of TTD, Sri Krodhinama Ugadi celebrations will be held on April 9 at Mahathi Auditorium in Tirupati.


As part of this, programs will start at 9.30 am with Mangaladhwani under the auspices of SV College of Music and Dance, followed by Veda Parayanam by SV Institute of Higher Vedic Studies.


On this occasion, Sri Vedantam Vishnu Bhattacharya will render Panchanga Shravanam at 10 am.  


After Ashtavadhanam, “Telugu Vaithalikulu” fancy dress competitions and cultural programs will be organized with the children of TTD employees.  


Prizes are awarded to the kids of employees who are the winners of various competitions.  After that Ugadi Pachchdi Prasadam will be distributed.


Ugadi Asthanam at Tirumala on 9th April




Sri Krodhinama Samvatsara Ugadi Asthanam will be held in Srivari Temple at Tirumala on April 9.


To celebrate this festival, Suprabhatam is first performed at 3 am, followed by Shuddhi.  At 6 o'clock in the morning Sridevi Bhudevi along with Sri Malayappa Swamy and Vishvaksena will be offered a special offering.  


Between 7 am and 9 am they enter the temple in a procession parading around the vimana prakaram and the temple flagpole.  


After that Srivari Moolavirattu and Utsavamurthies will be draped in new clothes.  


After that panchaga shravana and Ugadi Asthanam will be conducted by Agama Pandits and priests at Bangaru Vakili.


TTD has cancelled Arjithasevas such as Ashtadala Padapadmaradhana, Kalyanotsavam, Unjalseva and Arjitha Brahmotsavam in connection with Ugadi.

Mutyapu Pandiri Vahanam Held










On Sunday evening, as part of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam at Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple in Tirupati, Sri Ramachandra Murty took a celestial ride on Mutyapu Pandiri Vahanam to bless His devotees.


Both the senior and junior Pontiffs of Tirumala, DyEOs Sri Govindarajan, Smt Nagaratna, VGO Sri Bali Reddy, AEO Sri Parthasarathy, Kankanabhattar Sri Sitaramacharyulu, and others were present.

Chinna Sesha Carries Lord Sri Rama












On the second day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam at Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple in Tirupati, Sri Ramachandra Murty took a celestial ride on Chinna Sesha Vahanam to bless devotees on Saturday.


Earlier during the day Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed.


Both the Tirumala pontiffs, DyEO Smt Nagaratna and others were present.

Annamaiah Was A Biggest Social Reformer








Saint Poet and Telugu Padakavita Pitamaha Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya was not only a great literary laureate but also a biggest social reformer during his period, said Prof. B Kusuma Kumari.


Speaking during a literary meet organised by TTD on the occasion of the 521st Annamacharya Vardhanti fete by Annamacharya Project in Annamacharya Kalamandiram, the Telugu exponent delivered talk on Annamaiah - Samajikata and said he revolutionised the existing superstitions in the society six centuries ago by bringing social awareness among the denizens through his Sankeertans.


Dr Soujanaya of Brahmasamudram who spoke on Annamaiah - Naitikata said the saint poet raised his voice against inequalities through impeccable kritis like Tandanana Ahi and many other lores.


Dr Lokeswari of Nellore spoke on Imact of Annamacharya on Vengamba and said both of them sensitized the society against social evils through their great literary works.


Project Director Dr Vibhishana Sharma and others were also present.

Ayodhyakanda AKhanda Parayanam Held








The Ninth edition of Ayodhya Kanda Akhanda Parayanam was held on the Nada Neerajanam platform at Tirumala on Saturday with utmost religious fervour.


As a part of it 172 shlokas from Chapters 31-34 besides 25 shlokas from Yogavasistyam and Dhanwantari Maha Mantram were recited under the supervision of Vedic scholars Dr Ramanujacharyulu, Sri Ananta, Dr Maruti trio.


At the beginning of the Parayanam, the artists presented Ramabhadra Rara.. Kriti and at the conclusion sang Rama Raghurama... In a melodious manner.


Vedic scholars, Vedic students, and devotees participated in this event while millions across the globe participated virtually experiencing the devotional vibes seeing the live telecast on SVBC.
