Sri Krodhinama Telugu Ugadi festival was observed with utmost religious pomp and gaiety by TTD on Tuesday in Tirumala temple.
Ugadi Asthanam was observed on the auspicious occasion where the Pundits rendered Panchanga Shravanam in front of Utsava Murthies in Garuda Mandapam of Sanctum Sanctorum.
Both the presiding deity as well the processional deities were adorned with new robes on the occasion. After Asthanam devotees were allowed for darshan.
Speaking to the media TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy extended Sri Krodhinama Ugadi wishes to all Telugu devotees spread across the globe wishing them a happy, peaceful and prosperous life.
Both the senior and junior Pontiffs of Tirumala, TTD Chairman Sri B. Karunakara Reddy, DLO Sri Veeraju, SE2 Sri Jagadeeshwar Reddy, CPRO Dr T Ravi, DyEO Sri Lokanatham, VGO Sri Nandakishore and others were also present.
Ayodhya Rama and Dasavatara steals the show
As a special attraction matching Ugadi festival, the TTD Gardrn department has come out with colourful floral themes that included Sri Bala Rama of Ayodhya Temple and Dasavatara concepts.
Devotees clicked photos infront of Dasavatara which was displayed in front of temple that stood as a special attraction.
On the auspicious occasion of Sri Krodhinama Ugadi, Sri. T.V. Lakashminarayana & Family, Mumbai donated Silver Padmapeetham (4.659 Kgs) with a cost of Rs.4,37,762/- to S.V. Temple, at Mumbai.
They handed over the donation to the TTD Superintendent of the temple Sri Ramesh on Tuesday.
The Krodhinama Ugadi celebrations by TTD went off in a colourful manner in Mahati on Tuesday in Tirupati.
The Panchanga Shravanam was rendered by Dr Vishnubhattacharya, after Mangaladhwani and Vedaswasti followed by Astavadhanam, a literary feat which is unique for Telugu, that captivated the audience.
The fancy dress exhibiting various versatile personalities in Telugu literature, freedom fighters etc. by the children of TTD employees' stood as a special attraction.
DyEO Welfare Smt Snehalata and others, denizens of Tirupati also participated. Later Ugadi Pachchadi was distributed among all the participants.
