Pavitrotsavams Commences









The annual Pavitrotsavams in Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple commenced on a grand religious note on Thursday.


As a part of this, the Pancha Murthies of Sri Kapileswara Swamy, Sri Kamakshi Devi, Sri Vighneswara Swamy, Sri Subramanya Swamy, Sri Chandikeswara Swamy Utsavarlu rendered Snapana Tirumanjanam.

In the evening Kalasa Puja, Homam, Pavitra Pratista will be observed.

DyEO Sri Devendra Babu, AEO Sri Subbaraju and others were present.

Surprise Inspection by Eo Along with FSSAI Team to A Hotel










TTD EO Sri J Syamala Rao along with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India(FSSAI) team did a surprise inspection to Balaji Bhavan Hotel located near Koustubham Rest House in Tirumala on Thursday.


The EO and FSSAI Director of AP Sri Purnachandra Rao verified the storage, cleaning, and food processing methods being carried out in the hotel. They found that most of the vegetables including potatoes, cauliflower and some groceries are putrid and become mouldy. Even the hygiene and sanitation measures are found shabby. 

Later speaking to the media, the EO said following a series of emails and complaints from the pilgrims who stated that they had fallen ill after consuming food in the hotel, he along with the FSSAI team came for a surprise check to the hotel to find the facts. And the cooking and sanitation conditions prevailing in the hotel are horrible as the organisers of Hotel have thrown into the wind the food safety norms in every area, he asserted.

The EO also said, that the health safety and security of the multitude of visiting pilgrims to Tirumala is one of the top most priorities of TTD. With an aim to provide them a hygienic and tasty food in all the eateries in Tirumala, more such raids will be carried out in future. If the hotels and eateries are found violating rules, stern action will be initiated against them", he reiterated.

Putting his observations, the FSSAI AP Chief said, the Hotel has completely floated the Food Safety norms. He said, during our checking, we identified that the hotel is using rotten, mouldy veggies, a day-old boiled food, Public Distribution System(PDS) rice, reused oil, taste enhancer and food colour which is also against our FSSAI norms. Adding further he said, the kitchen will be closed down immediately and after conducting thorough probe, appropriate action will be taken against the hotel.

FOOD SAFETY ON WHEELS:

Later the EO along with the FSSAI Director flagged off a mobile Lab, "Food Safety on Wheels". The unique vehicle has a lab with the necessary equipment to check the food and water quality. Eighty ingredients shall be checked for its quality in this mobile lab and this is completely dedicated to serve the purpose in Tirumala, Sri Purnachandra Rao added. 

SE 2 Sri Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Estates Officer Tirumala, Smt Vijaya Lakshmi, DE Electrical Sri Ravishankar Reddy, AEO Revenue Sri Chowdary, FSSAI officials were also present.
  

Union Minister of Roads and Transport Offered Prayers in Tiruamala








The Honourable Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Sri Nitin Gadkari offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala during the early hours on Thursday.


On their arrival, the Hon’ble Union Minister was accorded a grand reception by TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam and temple priests escorted him to the sanctum sanctorum.

After darshan, he was offered Vedasirvachanam by Vedic pundits at Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later the JEO presented Theertha Prasadams, photo of Srivaru to the dignitary.

TTD Limits Srivani Quota From 22nd July Onwards




In view of the increasing pilgrim crowd to Tirumala, TTD has decided to reduce the SRIVANI Trust tickets, which comes into effect from Monday onwards.

The online quota of SRIVANI tickets remains the same at 500 while among the daily quota of 1000 tickets offline, 100 will be issued at Tirupati airport and 900 at Gokulam Rest House in Tirumala.
The devotees are requested to make note of this and co-operate with TTD.

MTVAC FMS Staff Wages Problem Settles




The wages issue of the FMS staff working in Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex(MTVAC) was settled by TTD on Thursday.


TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam speaking to the FMS workers said already the wages of the staffs was forwarded to the Contractor through the concerned Bank during last week itself.

He also told them, the wages of first batch workers was already paid to their accounts while the second batch received their salaries on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Annaprasadam workers met the officials over their wages issue only during their break time, without troubling the devotees.

Hotel License Cancelled




The Licence of the Hotel Balaji Bhavan near Koustubham which comes under the fold of one among the nine big canteens in Tirumala was cancelled on Thursday.


The Hotel was issued the final notice in the month of June.The current pending licence fee lying with the hotel is to the tune of Rs.76,04,196.

While cancelling the licence of the hotel for not paying licence fees promptly, the Task Force comprising Revenue, Health and Vigilance officials have taken over the possession of the Hotel.

Kavach Samarpana Held












On the last day of Jyeshtabhishekam in Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple in Tirupati, Kavacha Samarpana was held.

Earlier Snapana Tirumanjanam was held to the utsava idols.
Both the senior and junior pontiffs of Tirumala, DyEO Smt Shanti, AEO Sri Munikrishna Reddy and others were also present.
