Pavitrotsavams in Tondamanpuram

The annual Pavitrotsavams in Tondamanpuram will be observed from August 17 to 19 with Ankurarpanam on August 16.

On first day Pavitra Pratista, second day Pavitra Samarpana and on the last day Pavitra Purnahuti will be observed.

The Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad wing of TTD is organising devotional cultural programs during these days.

Annual Pavitrotsavam

The annual three-day Pavitrotsavams are scheduled from August 15-17 with Ankurarpanam on August 14.

On the first day, Pavitra Pratista, second-day Pavitra Samarpana and on the last day Pavitra Purnahuti will be observed.

Every day there will be Snapana Tirumanjanam to the deities.

The festival is believed to have commenced in 1962 to waive off sins that were committed either knowingly or unknowingly by the religious staff, temple staff, employees and even devotees all through the year through Agama rituals.

TTD has cancelled Sahasra Deepalankara Seva on August 14, besides Tiruppavada on August 15, also cancelled Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjita Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Sevas on all the three days.

Vengamamba Vardhanti

The 207th Death Anniversary fete of Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba will be observed on August 13.

This fete will be observed at Tarigonda, the birthplace of the saint poetess, Tirupati and Tirumala.

In Tarigonda, Kalyanotsavam of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is observed.

Floral tributes will be paid to the Vengamamba statue in MR Palle Circle followed by Literary events at SVETA Bhavan in Tirupati while at Tirumala, Pushpanjali will be rendered in Vengamamba Brindavanam at 9am.
