Swarna Ratham Procession











On the occasion of Varalakshmi Vratam, the procession of Swarna Ratham was held on Friday evening in Tiruchanoor.


Goddess Sri Padmavati Devi in all Her religious splendour mounted on the Swarna Ratham moved majestically along the mada streets to bless the devotees.

Women devotees participated in huge numbers and pulled the golden chariot with enthusiasm.

Tulasi Utsavam at Sri Govindaraja Swamy Vari Temple







TTD organised the Tulasi mahatyam utsavam at Sri Govindaraja Swami temple on Friday.


As part of the festivities, the Swamy has taken a pride ride on Garuda Vahanam along the Mada streets in the morning after daily Kainkaryas and Vishwarupa Darshanam.

This was followed by Swamivari Asthanam where archakas chanted Tulasi Mahatya Purananam.

Temple Superintendent Sri Mohan Rao, temple inspector Sri Dhananjay and archakas participated.

Pavitra Samarpanam Fete Held












On the second day of the ongoing annual Pavitrotsavam at Srivari temple on Friday Pavitra Samarpana ritual was grandly performed wherein the TTD EO Sri J. Syamala Rao participated.


As a part of the festivities at the temple, Yagasala Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed at the Sampangi Prakaram and thereafter amidst Vedic chants and Mangala Vaidyams, Pavitra Malas were decked to all the main idols and utsava idols inside temple, Dwaja Stambham, Bali Peetham, Sri Varaha Swamy and Sri Bedi Anjaneya outside the temple.

Later in the evening, Sri Malayappa Swami along with His consorts will bless the devotees along the Mada streets.

In view of the festivities, TTD has cancelled Arjita Sevas like Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjita Brahmotsavam and Sahara Deepalankara Sevas.

Tirumala pontiffs, Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdhary, temple DyEO Sri Lokanatham and others were present.

New Umbrella Fete Held at Srivari Padalu







The traditional annual Chatra Sthapanotsavam was observed by TTD in a grand manner at Srivari Padalu near Narayanagiri on Friday wherein TTD archakas installed and decorated a new Umbrella.


Archakas brought puja materials and Naivedyam from Srivari temple where initially they performed Tirumanjanam and Abhisekam to the sacred feet followed by Prabhanda sattumora by Veda Parayanadars and later Prasadam was distributed to the devotees.

Legend says that this ritual is observed every year to mark the appearance of Srivaru stepping His holy feet on this Peak point in Tirumala on Narayanagiri Hills.

The installation of an umbrella is aimed at seeking relief from high-velocity winds with prayers appeasing Vayu Deva.

Koppera Hundi Donated





A Koppera Hundi was donated to TTD on Friday at Tirumala by donor from Kopperavari Palli Sri Kamineni Srinivasulu.


He handed over the hundial to Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdhary in front of Tirumala temple.

DyEO Sri Lokanatham and others were also present.

Astalakshmi Mandapam Steals the Hearts






















Vara Maha Lakshmi Vratam was held with utmost religious fervour in Tiruchanoor on Friday.


The Astana Mandapam was decorated specially for the mega religious event showcasing Asta Lakshmi Vaibhavam.

After Viswaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Kalasa Sthapana, Aradhana, Anga Puja, Sahasra Namarchana, Astottara Satanamavali, Grandhi Puja was performed.

Later Varalakshmi Vrata Mahatya Katha was rendered by Sri Maniikantha Swamy while Sri Babu Swamy recited the Mantras.

The entire event was telecasted live on SVBC between 10am and 12noon for the sake of global devotees.

Golden Saree 

Meanwhile, the presiding deity of Sri Padmavati Ammavaru blessed Her devotees draped in Golden Saree inside the Sanctum Sanctorum.
