Under the instructions of TTD CVSO Sri Sreedhar, TTD Vigilance and Security sleuths with the help of local police in a joint operation, raided the dwellings of workers on the back side of Balaji Nagar in Tirumala on Sunday.

The cops found that these are the temporary sheds laid for the workers who worked as wage labourers in various construction activities of Tirumala earlier.

However, inspite of the completion of the works, though the contactor left Tirumala, many of the are still staying at Tirumala in more than 70 sheds that which includes some unauthorised persons also.

Keeping in view the safety of Tirumala, the vigilance sleuths have enlisted the workers in a joint operation organised on Sunday between 10am and 12 noon and forwarded the same to the Engineering department for verification.

Similar raids will be henceforth conducted at regular intervals to put a check to unauthorized entrants.

On the occasion of the 353rd Aradhana Mahotsava of Mantralaya Sri Guru Raghavendra Swami in

Kurnool District, on behalf of TTD, EO Sri J. Syamala Rao presented Seshavastram on Sunday.

Since the year 2006, TTD has been presenting Srivari Seshavastram to Sri Raghavendra Swamy in recognition of the services of the great Guru who worked for the spread of Hindu Sanatana Dharma.  

Sri Raghavendra Swamy was born by the grace of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.  Sri Raghavendra Swami before taking his sainthood was also known as Venkanna Bhatta, Venkatacharya.

The present Pontiff of Mantralaya Sri Subudendra Thirtha Swamy offered blessings to the TTD EO on this occasion.

Tirumala temple Parupattedar Sri Bala Subramanyam and others participated in this program.

The monthly Pournami Garuda Seva will be observed in Tirumala on August 19.

As it happens to be the auspicious Sravana month Garuda Seva and also Rakhi festival, this one assumes importance.

Sri Malayappa will be paraded on the mighty Garuda Vahanam which will be live telecast by SVBC between 7pm and 9pm on Monday.

TTD officials, devotees participate in this vahana seva.
