TTD has cancelled certain Arjita Sevas and Darshans during the forthcoming Srivari annual Brahmotsavam scheduled from October 4-12 with Ankurarpanam on October 3.
TTD has cancelled all special Darshan including Parents with infants, Senior citizens and Physically challenged darshans besides VIP Break Darshans(only Protocol VIPs are allowed on reporting Self) to facilitate larger number of pilgrims with comfortable and satisfactory Darshans during the nine-day Brahmotsavams.
TTD has appealed to devotees to note the changes and cooperate with the management for the smooth and successful conduct of the annual Brahmotsavams.
Sri Prasanna Kota of Virupa Power Projects Pvt Ltd, Kakinada has donated Rs.1,00,01,116/- towards S.V.Anna Prasadam Trust on Wednesday night.
The donor along with his family members handed over the cheque for the same to the TTD Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdhary at the later's Chambers in Tirumala.
The water available in the five prime dams at Tirumala has been assessed to meet the water needs of the locals and pilgrims at the Hill Town which will suffice the requirements for the next 120-130 days due to meagre rainfall received so far.
Every day nearly 43 lakh gallons of water is being consumed in Tirumala out of which 18LG are procured from Tirumala dams and remaining from Kalyani Dam located in Tirupati. The total storage capacity of Gogarbham, Akasa Ganga, Papa Vinasanam, Kumaradhara and Pasupudhara dams in Tirumala is 14,304lakh gallons out of which only available at present in Tirumala is around 5800lakh gallons only.
In the larger interests of the multitude of pilgrims visiting Tirumala during the ensuing annual brahmotsavams which is scheduled from October 4 to 12, TTD has appealed to devotees as well locals to avoid wastage of water and also contemplating some measures towards the regulation of the water consumption if the extraordinary situation persists in next few months.
TTD has appealed to devotees as well to locals to utilize the water in a thrift manner avoiding unnecessary wastage.
The Balalayam in Sri Kodanda Ramalayam at Vontimitta will be observed from September 6 to 8.
Ankurarpanam for the fete will be performed on September 6 at 5:30am.
On September 7 and 8 vaidika programs will be observed in Yaga Sala.
As a part of Balalayam, a replica temple will set up with a photo of the presiding deity since Jeernodharana is being done in the Sanctum Sanctorum to the main deity.
