Taking Measures to Overcome Water Crisis in Tiruamala - TTD Eo






TTD EO Sri J Syamala Rao on Saturday briefed the media at Annamaiah Bhavan on the measures focussed by TTD to overcome the water crisis in Tirumala.


The details of the press briefing as follows 

•  As of today (24-8-2024) the total water availability at Kumaradhara, Pasupudhara,  Akashaganga, Gogarbha Dam and Papavinasam,
is 4592 lakh gallon 

•  At Kalyani dam which supplied water as per the needs of Tirupati and Tirumala the water availability is 5608 lakh gallon

•  The water availability is adequate for next 130 days ie till 31-12-2024 including Brahmotsavam. The daily demand is 42 lakh gallons in Tirumala 
  • On August 22 TTD EO held discussions with the Tirupati municipal commissioner and with Somasila project SE  and the municipal commissioner agreed to supply Five MLD ( 11 lakh gallons).
  • 25 lakh gallons of water supply to Tirumala daily from Kalyani dam will commence from next two days.
  • TTD trust board has sanctioned ₹40 crore for laying pipelines additionally from Kailashgiri reservoir to augment water supply to Tirupati municipal corporation. Besides 10 MLD of water will also be provided for TTD needs.
  • TTD has released the first instalment of ₹5.62 crore to the municipal corporation to speed up the pipeline works.
•  He also said water resources would improve in the Kalyani dam and Kailasagiri reservoir with the inset of rainfall in October, November and December months.

Earlier the EO held a meeting with the officials of TTD and TMC on the same.

TTD Eo Inspected Divya Darshan Token Centre at Tirupati









TTD EO Sri J Syamala Rao along with the Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdhary inspected the SSD and Divya Darshan token centre at the Bhudevi complex in Alipiri on Saturday.


TTD EO reviewed the feasibility of reviving the Divya Darshan tokens issued at Alipiri once again. Thereafter he inspected the SSD token issue process, the SVBC master control room and old SVBC building.

He instructed the officials to speed up the comfortable issue of Tokens and other development activities.

He also visited the  jala prasadam units, luggage counters at Alipiri and gave valuable instructions to the concerned officials.

JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, CVSO Sri Sridhar, CE Sri Nageswar Rao, SVBC CEO Sri Shanmukh Kumar were present.

TTD Addl Eo Inspects Outside Lines





With the weekend pilgrim rush being witnessed in Tirumala, the Additional EO of TTD Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdhary made sudden inspections during the wee hours on Saturday.


As a part of this, the Additional EO inspected outside lines at Krishna Teja Circle, Narayanagiri Sheds, VQC 2 Compartments and interacted with pilgrims to know about the facilities.

The pilgrims expressed pleasure at the taste of Upma being served to them in compartments.

The Additional EO also instructed the officials concerned to clearly mention the timings of food and beverages being served to pilgrims on the boards outside compartments in a proper manner. He also directed the concern to improve the cleaning in VQC Compartments as soon as they were released.

Later he observed that some private taxis and jeep drivers are parking inside Queue lines obstructing the free movement of pilgrim lines at Krishna Teja Circle. He warned the drivers and immediately instructed the Vigilance sleuths to negotiate with local police on the same avoiding such unauthorized parking in future.

AEOs Sri Gangadharam, Sri Munirathnam and other on duty staffs were also present.

TTD Eo Briefs on Srivari Brahmotsavam Arrangements









TTD EO Sri J Shyamala Rao said on Saturday that elaborate arrangements are underway towards the smooth conduct of the Srivari annual Brahmotsavam from October 4-12.


Speaking to media persons at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Saturday evening he said the morning Vahana Sevas will be held between 8am and 10am while the evening between 7pm and 9pm except for the Garuda Vahana Seva which commences at 6.30 pm.

He said on October 4, evening the Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri N Chandra Babu Naidu will present official pattu vastrams to Srivaru on behalf of the state government. And also participate in the Pedda Sesha Vahanaseva.

He said in view of the anticipated rush of devotees, many arjita Sevas and special darshans have been cancelled in the Tirumala Srivari Temple during the annual fete.

Among others, he said a buffer stock of about seven lakh laddus will be kept ready, strong security in coordination with district police with additional force during Garuda Vahana Seva while ghat roads will be kept open for 24 hours on Garuda Seva day and constant vigil through common command center.

He said the engineering department has commenced preparations at both Tirumala and Tirupati, electric decorations, and large digital LED screens all around the Mada streets 

He said during the fete there will be no allotments for cottage donors from October 4-12 and devotees requested to occupy rooms in Tirupati if they do not get accommodation at Tirumala.

TTD has rolled out additional Barbers to provide non-stop service at all kalyana kattas and additional staff will be roped in to maintain cleanliness.

He said TTD is ready for distribution of Annaprasadam, milk, breakfast in Matrusree Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam complex Vaikuntam compartments, and outside queue lines.

The TTD has set up several first aid centres, mobile clinics and ambulances along with medical centres and dispensaries at Ashwani Hospital and Vaikuntham Q Complex in Tirumala to address any emergencies.

He said around 4,000 Srivari sevaks were deployed to serve the devotees in all the sections of Tirumala.

The SVBC channel is ready to provide Live broadcasts of Vahana Sevas, cultural programs and traditional programs of Srivari temple.

In order to showcase the development activities of TTD special Photo exhibition, fruit and flower show Ayurveda and sculpture exhibition is organised at the Kalyana Vedika.

Special cultural groups invited from all states to perform in front of Vahana Sevas and also at auditoriums in Tirupati and Tirumala under the leadership of HDPP projects.

Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdhary, JEOs Smt Goutami, Sri Veerabrahmam, CVSO Sri Sreedhar and others officials were present.
